Celebration of Holy Baptism and First Communion
We are excited to share the joyful celebration of Holy Baptism this morning with Emily Coleman, Grace Coleman, and Raylan Coleman as they are welcomed into our church! Emily and Grace will also be celebrating their First Holy Communion this morning, after completing study of this holy meal last month. We congratulate Emily Coleman and Grace Coleman as they join us at the Lord’s Table this morning!
Mutual Ministry Listening Session
TODAY @ 12:15 PM
The Mutual Ministry committee invites you to join them in the parish hall for a time of informal conversation immediately after worship on Sunday, October 25. This is your chance to share ideas, suggestions, and celebrate all the joys and successes you see at Reformation this fall!
Reformation Sunday Bluegrass Worship
TODAY @ 4:00 PM
You are cordially invited to join us as we gather with Lutherans from across the area to celebrate our Lutheran heritage with a Reformation Bluegrass Worship! We will be joined by our guest preacher Rev. Tina Toburen, Virginia Synod’s new Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministries. Celebrate the Reformation at Reformation on Reformation Sunday — in Shenandoah Valley style.
Treasurer Needed - Financial Oversight Position
We are currently looking for candidates willing to serve as our congregation’s treasurer for 2027. We have contracted with Simplify Church for several years now to handle our day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly financial reporting, so this position is now primarily about providing oversight to ensure everything is running smoothly. If you are interested, please reply to Pastor Brad at your earliest convenience!
Trunk or Treat
Saturday, October 31st!
Our Trunk or Treat will be on Saturday, October 31st from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm as a part of Trick or Treat on Congress Street! If you’d like to host a trunk and give out candy, there is a sign-up sheet on the credenza in the overflow area. If you’re unable to attend, please consider donating a bag of candy to help out our participants. We get quite a lot of little trick-or-treaters, so peanut-free options and small prizes for those who cannot eat candy are also appreciated! There will be a collection box in the overflow area throughout October. If you have any questions about this event or need trunk decorating ideas, reach out to Kim Burke. This is a rain or shine event and is always a fun way to be a part of our community! We hope you’ll join us!
All Saints Sunday
NEXT Sunday, November 1
Next Sunday, November 1 is All Saints Day, as we join Christians around the world in remembering our dearly departed loved ones and celebrating their rest in paradise. Be sure to join us for this moving and important worship service.
Special Advent Wreath Lesson on 11/22
In preparation for Advent, our Sunday School will be having a special lesson and workshop on 11/22 at 10:00am in the Fellowship Hall and all are welcome! We'll be learning about the history of Advent in the Lutheran Church and making Advent wreaths, including one that will be used throughout Advent during our Sunday School lessons. All materials will be provided. We hope you can join us as we prepare for this most holy season!
Next Kids Club Meeting on Sunday, November 15th
Our Kids Club will be meeting on Sunday, November 15th after worship until 1:30pm! All children under Confirmation age are invited to join us for lunch, a lesson, and a fun activity! This month we'll be preparing some special decorations for Reformation's Thanksgiving meal!
Make a Gift to Support
Reformation’s Ministry
Online giving is available! This is a safe and easy way to give gifts of financial support to our congregation by credit/debit card or through a bank ACH transaction. Give once or set up recurring giving.
Please remember this is only an added option for giving. Our offering plate that is passed during services each Sunday will not change.
Visit our Giving page at www.onrealm.org/ReformationLuth/give or scan this QR code now!
Would you remember our sick, shut-ins, and nursing home patients, with visits, telephone calls, and cards?
