Meet our 2026 Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Fellows! Over the next few months, our Fellows will engage their sangats on voter registration, share resources in English and Punjabi, and create individual projects to aid in voter education and civic engagement.

Fateh! In a ruling earlier this week, a court continued to block immigration enforcement at certain houses of worship following a lawsuit last year.

As a reminder, the Sikh Coalition coordinated with Democracy Forward on this lawsuit, providing information about how immigration enforcement infringes on Sikh religious expression; we also facilitated the West Sacramento Gurdwara Sahib joining as a plaintiff. We look forward to continuing to provide updates on this important case.

A federal appeals court sided with houses of worship from the Quaker, Sikh, and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship religious traditions.

Anti-Sikh hate crime incidents increased by 25 percent from 2024 to 2025 according to the latest FBI hate crimes data. It is important to note this is an undercount: The data reflects only the information that the FBI has, and many law enforcement organizations across the country either report zero hate crimes or do not provide any data at all.
