As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we proudly recognize the incredible staff of Jawonio PROS and Care Management. 💚
Their compassion, commitment, and dedication help individuals in our community find support, connection, hope, and pathways toward wellness every single day. The impact they make extends far beyond the walls of our programs.

Amanda Olachea’s journey is powerful, honest, inspiring, and a reminder of what resilience, opportunity, and community support can truly make possible. While it may be a longer read, every paragraph matters and every moment is worth it.

Take a few minutes today to read about our wonderful Jawonio IT Team member and her story and see the impact of inclusion, determination, and hope in action.

On behalf of all of us at Jawonio, we wish you and your families a safe, reflective and peaceful weekend. A special shout out to our DSPs who work weekends and holidays away from their own families caring for our most vulnerable individuals.

Here is a Memorial Day reflection from Jawonio on service, sacrifice, and community. This piece honors those we’ve lost while reflecting on the freedoms and dignity their service protects. We invite you to read it here on Linked In - https://shorturl.at/wktSs and join us in remembrance.

Thank you Diane Caruso News 12 Hudson Valley for highlighting our new H.E.A.R.T. Food Pantry, created exclusively for our own staff and the individuals we support.

We are deeply grateful for the grant provided by NYSID, Purchasing That Powers Employment for bringing this initiative to life. It was an honor to celebrate today’s ribbon cutting with NYSID President & CEO Maureen O’Brien and Randi Rios-Castro, CEO of Jawonio.
A special thank you to PreVocational Program Supervisor Erik Feldi and our incredible participants for operating the pantry with such care, professionalism, and welcoming spirit. So much good happens here. 💙

The New City nonprofit launches a new pantry to help employees and the people they care for access nonperishable food.
