⚾️ A HOME RUN FOR JAWONIO! ⚾️
For more than 60 years, the Haverstraw Little League Tournament of Champions has brought our community together in support of children with special needs at Jawonio.
This week, Gil Carlevaro and Sal Corallo proudly presented Jawonio CEO Randi Rios-Castro with a generous $3,025 dollar donation to support our Children’s Summer Education Program.
Since 1961, generations of Little League players, families and volunteers have continued this remarkable tradition of giving. The Journal News sponsored the tournament for decades and extensively covered the games, helping make it a beloved part of Rockland County history.
Thank you, Gil, Sal, Haverstraw Little League and everyone who keeps this wonderful legacy going! So Much Good Happens Here.

For our children, we celebrate every new skill, milestone and moment of growth. For our teachers and aides, it reflects the joy of helping each child learn and thrive. And for our families, it marks how far their children have come and all the possibilities still ahead.
Congratulations to our graduates and the entire team that supported them along the way! We have another graduation tomorrow, and we can’t wait to celebrate again! 🎉

💙 Today, on , we celebrate the power of mission. At Jawonio, we are proud to stand alongside nonprofit organizations throughout our communities that work every day to create a more accessible, inclusive and equitable world.

From children’s services and education to disability and mental health supports, food insecurity, housing, healthcare, services for older adults, employment, the arts, recreation and countless other causes, nonprofits strengthen communities, create opportunities and provide critical support to millions of people every day.

And in an increasingly challenging environment marked by workforce shortages, rising costs and funding pressures advocacy has never been more important. Our collective voices matter!

You can help too! Think about volunteering, making a donation (www.jawonio.org/donate), advocacy efforts (mark your calendars for the 2027 Rally in the Valley 3/19/27) or sharing your stories about a non-profit that is meaningful to you on social media.

To our incredible Jawonio staff, families, volunteers, donors, advocates, community partners and our nonprofit colleagues everywhere thank you for continuing to show up, speak up and move the mission forward. We are stronger together!
