Our Longest Resident Needs You! 🫶🏻

Precious came to Colonial Capital Humane Society on January 16, 2024. She had spent most of her life living chained outside.

She arrived at CCHS with her two puppies. Both puppies found wonderful homes… but somehow, Precious still waits for a family or person to call her own.

Day after day, she waits.
At almost 7 years old, Precious isn’t asking for much. She’d be perfectly happy being a couch potato & relaxing with her favorite person.

A little about Precious:
Bananas are her FAVORITE snack!
She loves going for car rides
She’d happily spend her days relaxing beside you
She would do best with older children
She would thrive as the only pet in the home

🚀🐾 Meet Rocky, aka Pocket Rocket! 🐾🚀

This handsome guy may be compact at 35 lbs, but Rocky has a BIG personality! At 4 years old, he’s the perfect mix of playful energy and easygoing charm. He’s neutered, heartworm negative, and dog & kid friendly, making him a great fit for many different homes. ❤️

Rocky is ready for adventures, fun, and a family of his very own. And we should probably mention one important detail… Rocky is a proud bay-er! 😂 If you’re not a fan of a little musical commentary from your dog, you may want to keep scrolling. Confessions of someone who once said, “I will NEVER have a pit bull!” ❤️🐾

And then I met T***s.

This sweet girl has completely changed my perception. T***s is one of the most loving, affectionate dogs I have ever met.

When she first came to my home, she was afraid of people she didn’t know. Watching her blossom has been amazing. Today, instead of being afraid, T***s sees just about everyone as a potential new friend! She does well with people, other dogs, and cats.

I don’t know everything about her past, and loud or sudden noises can still make her jump. But what I do know is that this girl has so much love to give.

And tennis balls? 🎾 They are her absolute FAVORITE! Give T***s some room to run and a tennis ball to chase, and she is one happy pup.

When playtime is over, she’s more than ready for the other important part of her day—cuddling with you on the couch. ❤️

T***s is ready for a family of her own. She doesn’t need anything fancy—just someone to love her, a place to run and play, plenty of tennis balls, and a spot beside you on the couch.

Charlotte is looking for her perfect match, and she just might be the running buddy, adventure partner, and professional goofball you’ve been searching for! 🥰

This young, energetic girl is social with people, dogs, and cats. She’s been working hard on her manners and has made wonderful progress. Charlotte now settles nicely and sits for affection instead of jumping up for attention. Talk about a girl who is putting in the work! 👏

She still has plenty of puppy-like energy and can be a little wild when the excitement hits, but she’s learning how to balance her zoomies with some quality chill time.

Charlotte would be a great match for someone who loves running, laughing, and embracing all the fun that comes with a playful pup. 😂

Meet Cove! 💜🐾

This sweet 7-month-old is basically a professional purr machine! 🥹 Cove is incredibly loving, cuddly, and has the sweetest personality. He gets along wonderfully with both cats AND dogs, making him a great little companion for a variety of homes.

Cove does have a sensitive tummy and needs to stay on prescription food, Hill’s Diet Z/D for sensitive stomachs, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! He’s ready to find a family who will give him all the love, snuggles, and care he deserves. ❤️
