Purpose: To encourage teachers to go beyond the basic curriculum by offering creative and innovative horticulture opportunities for their students. A horticulture project will increase student vocabulary, math skills, and scientific knowledge of aspects of biological diversity.

Project focus: Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, projects such as specialty gardens, beneficial insects, vermiculture, composting or stormwater solutions such as rain gardens.

Apply by October 31, 2026.
