PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in PTA is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference for the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.

It’s hard to believe this will already be our seventh dinner, where does the time go?! What started as a simple way to love on our community (and a goal that we set to feed 5,000 free meals in 1 year) has grown into something so incredibly meaningful that our family looks forward to every month! Each month becomes more special than the last, and every shared meal, conversation, smile, and hug reminds us just how important COMMUNITY truly is!!

We absolutely love seeing all of you come through- families, neighbors, familiar faces, and new ones. These evenings are about so much more than food. They are about connection, support, and making sure no one feels alone. You are LOVED!

Whether you are in need of a hot meal, could use a little extra love during a hard season, are a tired parent needing one less thing to carry (trust me, we get it!), or simply want to sit among community and neighbors - we would be honored to have you join us!!

There is always a seat for YOU at the table. ❤️

Come as you are, bring your family, bring a friend, grab a meal for a neighbor that cant make it out. We truly can’t wait to see you!!

We are so thankful for our friends at Loaf thy Neighbor for partnering together with us to make this happen by baking our bread and desserts each month. Your hearts for this community and serving others is such a beautiful thing to see.

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year so special for our students, teachers, and staff.

To our amazing families, volunteers, teachers, school staff, community partners, and supporters — thank you for your time, donations, encouragement, and participation throughout the year. Whether you attended events, donated supplies, volunteered your time, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on, you helped make a difference in our school community.

We also want to give a special thank you to the local businesses and organizations that generously supported our PTA throughout the school year. Please remember to support the businesses that support our schools and community whenever you can!

This year was filled with so many memorable moments, and none of it would have been possible without the support of our incredible PTA community. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!

We hope everyone has a fun, relaxing, and safe summer. We can’t wait to see what next school year brings! 💙🐻💛

What a wonderful way to wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week! 💙💛

Our Teacher Appreciation Gift Card Raffle was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our amazing parents and guardians, we received a total of $365 in gift cards from places like Amazon, Food Lion, and Harris Teeter to raffle off to our educators. A special thank you to Food Lion of James City for donating an additional gift $30 card to help make this event even more exciting!

This raffle was such a big hit — not only for our educators, but also for the students in the winning classrooms. Cheers and excitement could be heard throughout the hallways each time a winner was announced! 🎉

Thank you to Mrs. Stainback for all you did behind the scenes to help everything run smoothly. A special thank you to Coastal Tallow Co. for your generous donation that helped make our Teacher Appreciation Flower Event extra special. And a huge thank you to the Brinson PTA Teacher Appreciation Committee for planning and creating such meaningful experiences for our educators all week long.

We hope our teachers know just how appreciated they are — not just during one week in May, but every single day. Thank you for everything you do for our children and our school community. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. 💙🐻💛

April showers bring May flowers! 🌸🌼

Our Teacher Appreciation Flower Day event was another big success! It was so sweet seeing the students walk in carrying flowers for their teachers. They were excited to surprise them, and many students even purchased multiple flowers so they could share the love with several staff members. 💐 Special shoutout again to Coastal Tallow Co. for their generous donation which allowed us to greatly reduce the price of the flowers available for purchase.

The PTA had around 100 carnations available and every single one sold out! Best of all, every child who came in with money was able to purchase a flower. Many classrooms are now filled with beautiful bouquets thanks to the generosity and appreciation from our students and families.

We also made mini bouquets for our TAs, EC staff, resource teachers, and support staff so they felt celebrated too. Everyone plays an important role in making our school so special, and we wanted to make sure no one was left out. ❤️

Up next — Gift Card Raffle Day for our educators! 🎉

Tomorrow, the school will be sponsoring lunch for our teachers and the PTA will be raffling off various gift cards to help spoil our amazing staff with even more fun and surprises! 💙🐻💛

Today we treated our educators to a special luncheon—and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day to enjoy delicious eats from Gigis Snack Shack, served outdoors. Huge thanks to Chef Jay for an amazing meal!

The New Bern Woman’s Club went above and beyond by providing homemade desserts, helping serve, and assisting other parent volunteers with duty-free lunch in the cafeteria so our teachers could truly relax and enjoy their break. We are so grateful for your support!

A big thank you as well to the Brinson PTA Teacher Appreciation Committee for making sure every detail was just right. Your hard work made this a wonderful and memorable experience for our teachers!

Help us celebrate our amazing teachers this coming Thursday (5/7) morning!

The PTA will be selling carnations before school to support our Teacher Appreciation Week flower activity.

We kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week today with a fun Dirty Soda Bar for our amazing educators! 💙🥤💛

Huge thanks to our PTA members and supporters who donated items to make it such a hit and to our PTA volunteers who helped whip up these tasty beverages. And a special shoutout to Sonic for providing the ice that took these drinks to the next level! 🔝😋

Next up, we’re excited to welcome Gigis Snack Shack to campus tomorrow to serve our teachers some extra tasty lunches! 🍔😎
