Help us celebrate at Fishing Partnership! Leading up to June 15th – June 21st, we’ll be celebrating our team of CHW’s, known as , who support fishermen, their families, and our coastal communities. Our team of ’s help fishing families enroll in health insurance, learn life-saving skills at FP trainings, and access community and industry-related resources.

On Wednesday night, longtime Fishing Partnership friend, Shareen Davis was honored with the Mercy Otis Warren Cape Cod Woman of the Year Award.

As a commercial weir fisher, founding member of the Chatham Harvesters Cooperative, and accomplished photographer, we are grateful for the many ways we have been able to collaborate and partner with Shareen.

This Alaska Marine Safety Education Association workshop addresses the most common causes of these casualties. You will learn vital information on vessel stability and ways to prevent dangerous situations through practical exercises, demonstrations, and case studies of actual fishing vessel accidents.

Fishermen are eligible to receive a FREE Damage Control Kit upon course completion.

Fishermen are First Responders at sea!

FP’s and course is designed to train with life-saving practical skills and knowledge to assess and treat injured and sick crewmembers on fishing vessels in an offshore environment before emergency personnel arrive.

Fishermen who complete this course will become certified in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED and are eligible to receive a FREE customized first aid kit for commercial fishing vessels.

DAY ONE | SAFETY & SURVIVAL TRAINING This training is designed for all and , including crewmen and family members, to learn or hone fundamental skills in firefighting, survival suits, flares, EPIRBS, life rafts, emergency communications and more, all through hands-on training. Commercial Fishermen who attend are eligible for a 50% rebate off any lifejacket they purchase after training.

DAY TWO | DRILL CONDUCTOR CERTIFICATION Apply your knowledge and skills to your own fishing vessel in a way that has proven to save lives. Learn to work as a team when an emergency happens. Fishermen who complete these two days of training are AMSEA certified Drill Conductors, which meets USCG requirements under 46 CFR 28.270(c).
