June 6–7 is WHAS Crusade for Children weekend! ❤️🚒

For generations, the Crusade has helped children and families throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana by funding therapies, adaptive equipment, programs, and services that make a lasting impact.

You can help by donating at a local firefighter roadblock, tuning in to the telethon, or sharing the mission with friends and family.

Every dollar raised helps support children in our communities and provides resources they need to thrive. CASA of Floyd County is proud to support the WHAS Crusade for Children and the difference they make across our region.

🎉 We want to give a huge congratulations to CASA Volunteer Teshea Barbee on her retirement after 30 years of educating and inspiring students at Mt. Tabor Elementary School! 🎉

For three decades, Teshea has made an extraordinary impact on the lives of students, families, and fellow educators. Throughout her career, she has been recognized as Mt. Tabor Teacher of the Year, named Indiana State Volunteer of the Year, and received a staff wellness grant from the NAFC Education Foundation to support mental health initiatives for educators.

Many in our community also know and love her faithful partner, Mia the Therapy Dog, whose comforting presence has touched countless lives alongside Teshea's compassionate work.

While Teshea may be retiring from the classroom, her commitment to serving others is far from over. Since becoming a CASA volunteer in 2018, she has been a dedicated advocate for children, and we're thrilled that she and Mia will continue making a difference throughout our community in retirement.

Please join us in celebrating Teshea's remarkable career and thanking her for a lifetime of service, compassion, and advocacy.

Please join us in celebrating Jessica Burden - our May Volunteer of the Month! 🎉

Though Jessica has only been with CASA of Floyd County a short time, she is already making a big impact. She consistently shows up for her CASA child and family through weekly visits, thoughtful advocacy, and meaningful relationship-building. This is what it's all about!

Jessica has also stepped up to support CASA at community events, including our gala, and the upcoming Color Me CASA! 5k in October!
