June is National Safety Month.

Safety is about more than preventing accidents...

It’s about creating environments where people feel supported—through education, workforce development, and opportunities that strengthen skills, stability, and connection.

Safety looks like:
• Emotional safety through strong, supportive relationships
• Family stability that helps prevent crises before they begin
• Youth support through early intervention and trusted adults
• Communities working together so no one has to navigate challenges alone

This is what prevention looks like.

Prevention is an investment—one that may not always be visible right away, but grows stronger over time with every connection, every skill, and every family supported.

Because when we invest in people early, we build safer communities for everyone.

June is Men’s Health Month.

Too often, men are taught to “push through” or stay quiet about what they’re facing. But real strength looks like speaking up, getting support, and taking care of your health—physically and mentally.

This month is a reminder: you don’t have to do it alone. When families, friends, and communities show up as partners in care, better outcomes follow—for everyone.

Check in. Reach out. Make the appointment. Start the conversation.

As we recognize National Higher Education Day tomorrow, we’re reminded that learning doesn’t follow just one path. Whether it’s college, certification programs, or career training, every step toward growth matters—and every person deserves the chance to pursue it.

For many individuals and families, navigating those options can feel overwhelming. That’s where connection, guidance, and community support make all the difference.

Tomorrow is a day to explore possibilities, ask questions, and take one step closer to your goals—whatever they may be. 🏫

June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month—a great time to add a little more color to your plate.

Fruits and vegetables help fuel our bodies, support growing kids, and keep families feeling their best. And the good news? There are so many simple, affordable ways to enjoy them.

From grocery stores to farmers markets—or even your own backyard—fresh options are all around this time of year. Try adding one new fruit or vegetable to your plate this week and see what you like.

Sometimes, small changes are where it starts! 🍊🥦🍓🥕

We are proud to award $50,000 to Clark and Floyd County System of Care to expand critical mental health and family support services for children and families in Southern Indiana.

This funding will support the salaries of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Community Health Worker (CHW).

The LCSW will provide trauma-informed therapy for children with high Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) scores, helping young people receive the specialized care they need to heal and thrive.

The Community Health Worker will provide case management and wraparound services to children and families across five counties, connecting them to resources and ensuring they receive comprehensive support.

Together, these positions will strengthen the regional network of care and improve outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children and families.
