🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE - PLEASE READ - PLEASE SHARE 🚨

Due to a recent fire and flood incident, the Naugatuck Animal Control facility is currently CLOSED until further notice.

We want to reassure the community that all animals in our care are safe and have been relocated to mutual aid facilities.
Thank you so much to Woodbury, Prospect, Woodbridge and Oxford for all their help.

While our facility remains closed, Animal Control services will continue to the best of our ability. All animal-related complaints, concerns, and emergencies should be reported through Dispatch at **203-729-5222**.
Calls will be forwarded to an on-call Animal Control Officer for response.

We appreciate the patience, understanding, and support of our residents during this challenging time. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available and will notify the public as soon as we are able to reopen our facility.

Stella is a petite, gorgeous long-haired sweetheart. At 8 years old, she was surrendered due to heartbreaking circumstances that were completely beyond her control. Despite the changes in her life, Stella remains bright, outgoing, and full of love. She enjoys perching on top of things where she can observe everything around her like the little queen she is. Stella has a gentle, affectionate nature and would love a calm home where she can feel safe, cherished, and adored again and not replaced by another pet. Papa is a thin, sleek black, gray and white 4 year old domestic long hair. He is currently being fostered but is looking for a furever home. He is gorgeous and photogenic. (How can you resist those green eyes?) He is curious, playful and loves to follow you around. Once he warms up to you he will wag his tail when you say his name, even while he is sleeping. This sweet boy is not just gentle and loving; he needs a home that appreciates his affectionate nature. He also bows his head forward for a kiss. He plays fetch with his little gray mouse and has invented his own game by swatting his mouse down the steps and then retrieving it. He loves to bird watch, especially on the TV. He is a good eater and isn’t vocal. He would do great in a quieter household alone or with a younger cat looking for a playmate. Unfortunately, he was surrendered due to changes in his family's living situation, but that shouldn't define his future. He deserves a loving home where he can thrive. Lady Ariel—what can we say? She is absolutely gorgeous. This lovely girl was sadly surrendered due to a change in family dynamics and is now adjusting to her new surroundings. Lady Ariel is taking her time acclimating to the shelter environment, which is completely understandable. With a little patience and a lot of love, her true personality is sure to shine through. She would do best with a family who can give her the time and gentle reassurance she needs to feel safe and comfortable again.
