On Thursday, Tug Valley High School honored the longtime former Panther Baseball Head Coach Don Spence by dedicating and naming the school’s baseball field in his honor. Coach Spence’s positive influence upon countless TVHS student-athletes and his tireless dedication to the school’s athletic programs were memorialized with today’s ceremony. His presence is greatly missed indeed…

TVHS will be dedicating our baseball field on Thursday, April 17th @ 5:15PM. We will be unveiling our plaque and dedicate our field to one of the greatest Panthers of all time-our very own Don Spence. Though Don is gone, his contributions will forever live on. Our goal is to honor his memory and contributions to our community. Pre-game ceremonies will begin @ 5:15PM preceding the TVHS/Van baseball game. Don’s family will throw out the ceremonial first pitch as we honor a true Panther legend.

Here’s an opportunity for our Tug Valley High School alumni and community to directly impact the future of Tug Valley Baseball and Softball. The goal is to try to get the building ready for use for our athletes for this season so time is short and resources are needed now. So please consider donating to this worthwhile endeavor…

We've had people reach out and ask us how they can donate to finish our building. We had an account that was active two years ago but we closed it out when we used up all the money to purchase materials. We have reopened that account with the link below. In addition to donating through the link, donations can be made in the office towards the building. Business checks need to note Baseball/Softball Facilities in the Memo line. Thank you to all that have helped us get it to where it's at but we have a lot more to do. The picture below is as it stands right now. Gravel floor, no insulation, no electric. We need electric, we need indoor turf, and we need insulation immediately. After that we will need to heat it somehow. Thank you for considering helping us.
