We’re excited to welcome Edwin Harris, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP, as a keynote speaker at the 2026 AIA Tennessee Conference on Architecture on Friday, August 14. As Design Principal and Co-Founder of EVOKE Studio, Edwin’s work explores the power of architecture to strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and create a deeper sense of belonging. Through civic, educational, and community-centered projects, he examines how the built environment can elevate human experience while responding to the unique character and aspirations of place.
His keynote presentation, Space Power, reflects on architecture’s ability to empower people, foster pride, and shape more equitable and connected communities. Drawing from both his design practice and ongoing research, Edwin challenges designers to think beyond buildings and consider what architecture can make possible for individuals and society. His perspective on community, agency, and the social impact of design promises to spark meaningful conversations about the role of architects in shaping the future.
