A little honey goes a long way. 🍯

The women in our program recently made a fresh batch of honey tallow, and we’re excited to begin incorporating honey from Good Hope Farms into all of our skincare products.

But this work is about so much more than what is being made. Through our Workforce Empowerment Program, the women gain hands-on experience, build confidence, strengthen practical workplace skills, and take meaningful steps toward greater independence.

Every product is part of something bigger: restoration, hope, and freedom.

At RSM and GHF, we have the privilege of seeing women reclaim their lives, discover purpose, and reimagine their futures.

Freedom looks like safety.
Freedom looks like healing.
Freedom looks like HOPE.

🐝 From the hive to the jar! 🐝

Recently, the residents at had the opportunity to help harvest and prepare comb honey from our Good Hope Farms apiary. After carefully removing honey-filled frames from the hive, they cut sections of beautiful capped comb honey by hand and placed them into jars.

The final step will be topping each jar with our raw Good Hope Farms honey, creating a delicious product just as nature intended. Every piece of honeycomb represents the incredible work of thousands of bees, and the dedication of the survivors who are learning valuable life skills through our Workforce Empowerment program.

"Bee" on the lookout, we'll be harvesting honey this week, and our jars of GHF raw honey with real honeycomb will be available later this summer!

🌱 Growing More Than Flowers 🌱

Gardening offers so much more than beautiful blooms and is known to reduce stress, improve mood, build confidence, encourage mindfulness, and create a sense of accomplishment.

For survivors on a healing journey, the simple act of nurturing something from a seedling to a bloom can be a powerful reminder that growth is possible, even after difficult seasons.

Earlier this month, the survivors at planted mums during their hands-on paid job training hours with Good Hope Farms. Our very first crop will grow into beautiful mums to sell this fall!

What began as small plants and hopeful hands is growing into something much bigger, an opportunity to learn, work together, develop new life skills, and experience the rewards of patience and perseverance.
