We are incredibly honored to receive recognition as a 2025–2026 Community Pilot Project at the National African American Child and Family Research Center (NAACFRC) Community-Engaged Research Conference.
This recognition reflects the power of collaboration. We extend our sincere gratitude to the School of Medicine NAACFRC team, Dr. Latrice Rollins, Jareese Stroud, and everyone who made this initiative possible.
We also want to thank our outstanding community partners, including Metro Nashville Public Schools, the NAACP Nashville Branch, Vanderbilt University, The LOVE Academy, and every individual who contributed their time, expertise, and passion to this project. A special thank you to our Project Operations Coordinator, Cameo Bobo, whose leadership and dedication helped bring this work to life.
Most importantly, we thank the youth, families, and community members who trusted us to walk alongside them. This recognition belongs to all of us.
This is only the beginning. We look forward to continuing to build innovative, community-centered programs that create lasting opportunities for young people and strengthen the communities we serve.
