DonorConnect's Public Education/Multicultural Outreach Team is excited to be part of this year's Night Nation Run on June 6 at America First Field, starting at 6pm.

"I wrote to my donor’s family one year after my lung and liver transplant. I later received a letter from my donor’s mother. She signed it with her name and phone number, and I called her soon after. A few months later, we drove five hours to a Path of Remembrance gathering, where I met about 25 members of my donor’s family. It was wonderful and deeply touching. I stay in contact with my donor’s sweet mother through texts, calls and messages. I feel like I am part of the most loving, giving and kind family. I am truly blessed and thankful every day." - Chalma

"Jaxen was just 9 years old when he unexpectedly passed, after a lifelong journey that began at 28 weeks premature. He faced bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy, and spent his first six years in the hospital.

Despite everything, Jaxen lived a full, beautiful life—especially in the three years he was home, filled with travel, baseball games, and time with his siblings. In his final days, we made the decision to donate his organs—his heart, kidneys, and liver—turning unimaginable loss into life for others. Today, his legacy lives on through the people he saved, a ripple of love that continues to grow, reminding us that even the shortest lives can leave the greatest impact." - Falisha

Many of DonorConnect's volunteers have been personally impacted by organ, tissue, and eye donation. Chelsea, whose brother was a donor, and Kara, whose father received a life-saving transplant, recently appeared on Fox 13's The PLACE to discuss how volunteering at DonorConnect has impacted them.

DonorConnect Foundation had an unforgettable evening at The Heart of the West Gala last Friday.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make our inaugural gala such a meaningful success: our sponsors, donors, guests, volunteers, committee members, partners, staff, and advocates. A special thank you to Tif Blue for running such a beautiful event, down to every last detail, Elisse Glennon for being a dynamic and amazing emcee and Mindy B. Young who lit up the room like no other, and Gigi Pip for fitting these fine folks in stylish hats. Your generosity and belief in this mission continue to make a lasting impact across our community.
