Utah Global Diplomacy and Bellwether International were featured on Utah Public Radio's Access Utah in a conversation that goes to the heart of our work: how do we build genocide-resistant societies?
The episode followed the Third Annual Bridging Religious Divides Symposium: Disrupting the Cycle of Genocide, held in Salt Lake City and co-hosted by our two organizations—where Nobel Peace Prize laureate Leymah Gbowee delivered a keynote that challenged all of us to imagine the kind of world we want to leave behind.
On Access Utah, host Tom Williams sat down with Rachel Miner, founder and CEO of Bellwether International, and Jennie Lloyd, Board Chair of Utah Global Diplomacy, to explore the root causes of genocide—and the practical work of preventing it.
Grounded in Utah Global Diplomacy's mission since 1967 to promote respect and understanding between the people of Utah and people around the world, this conversation reflected our guiding principle of Citizen Diplomacy—the belief that everyone has both the right and responsibility to shape a more peaceful world, one relationship at a time.
