When I say it is never dull out here, I really mean it.
Shelby and Allyson were out helping tonight when the animal control officer called and said there was a loose pig that someone was threatening to shoot. So.... I asked the kiddos if they wanted to go on an adventure....they can now add "Pig Wrangler" to their resumes haha
Managed to catch this little guy in no time with their help. Bless his heart, he is so skinny. He was a very nice little guy and followed our little trail of treats right up in the trailer. Best of luck to this little guy! Hell be going to his new home this week!

The farm will be closed for a while. There was another incident today.

I am livid. This could have ended so much worse. SO. MUCH. WORSE.

I VERY seldom cant accommodate meeting someone that wants to come to the farm. I try my best to make it happen and think im pretty good at it. There is no reason someone should be going out here without me knowing. This is a HUGE liability.

To the person doing this.....CONTACT ME. 270-978-1779 I will gladly set up a time for you to come out. Please stop just going out by yourself.

I will be calling the sheriff dept to see what we need to do if there continues to be a trespasser.

Weve had some odd things happening at the farm lately.

Please remember that visits are by appt only. ***EVERYONE HAS TO CONTACT ME BEFORE GOING OUT*** Unfortunately, due to the happenings lately, we will not be allowing people to pop in randomly any more, everyone has to contact me prior to going out. This is for many reasons, the two biggest being your safety and the safety of the animals.

I hate that we are at this point, as I really do want this farm to be a safe place for everyone, but I cant risk the safety of the animals who live here.

Apparently, we hold Turkey Fight Club at the farm....took both Butterball and Karen to the vet today. Somehow they both managed to break a toe! HOW IN THE WORLD. They are by themselves so no bigger critter could have stepped on them, I looked through their pen and didn't see where there was anything that could have done something like that.
HOW. DID. THEY. DO. THAT. UGH.
We've consulted with our vet and have a game plan for them. Please send good juju to both of them. (Please no negative comments, I feel absolutely horrible as it is)

Sorry for the super late update. Weve managed to deliver 12 of the 14 baskets for the new teacher fundraiser. (There were 14 total new teachers in both schools so we didnt want to leave two out, so ended up doing two more baskets!) I've been waiting until we've delivered all the baskets, but I'm not sure how else to reach the last two. So, here are 11 of the 12 teachers we've suprised with goodies! (I forgot to get a Pic of one of them ahhh)

Again, you all are amazing and I so appreciate yall participating in this fundraiser. That goes for all our volunteer pig kissers and people who donated!
