Paducah Parks and Recreation's Noble Park Fish Out Tournament is this Saturday! For kids from 5 to 12 years of age. The FREE tournament will be Saturday, June 6 at Lake Gerry Montgomery in Noble Park. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at Shelter 10 (across the road from Noble Park Pool). Fishing is from 8 until 9:45 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow at 10 a.m. This is a catch and release tournament.

Children may use their own pole and bring their own bait, or they may borrow a pole and/or bait from Paducah Parks & Recreation while supplies last. A fishing license is not needed as youth under the age of 16 do not need a fishing license in Kentucky.

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the categories of Heaviest Fish and Most Fish Caught. The age divisions for awards are 5-7, 8-10, and 11-12.

Adults look like it's free, but you still have to sign up. I have asked to see if lunch is included and waiting for an answer. Looks like this will be a lot of fun.

We will also be signing up for the 4th of July parade soon. Once we know where we will meet we will let you know. We would like all scouts in uniform for the parade

If you have not let us know yet if you will be able to make it to the hike at Hematite Lake in LBL this weekend please let us know soon, so we know how much food we need for lunch. The hike starts at 9 am and be sure to bring water bottles and bug spray.

If you are planning on going down to Discovery Park this weekend please be sure to stop by and check out the cardboard boat regatta at the pond. Several of our former scouts are participating in the race.

Please check your email and sign up for our pot luck on Monday. We will meet at 6:00 for our Blue and Gold banquet. Please wear your uniform as we celebrate the birthday of cub scouts.
