WHAT IS PICKLEBALL?

Pickleball is a paddleball sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. It is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States.

Since we are unable to host the previously planned radio auction due to pandemic restrictions, we are planning other ways to generate funds so we can fulfill our commitment of granting funds to local non-profits. Today is the day that set up was to begin for the Ricky Lamkin Memorial Radio Auction that was originally scheduled to begin tomorrow. Although we can’t have the auction this week, we are hopeful that it will be even bigger and better when the time comes to relaunch. Stay tuned as we will be telling you more about our grant recipients in the coming days. We will let our supporters know as soon as we have new dates for the auction.
