These spots will close after orientations next week, so if you want to sign your child up to attend camp, bring your camp paperwork and payment to the Calloway Extension Office ASAP. County Fair Info is here! Join us for livestock shows on June 11th and then bring all your projects from this 4-H year to check in on June 15th. As a reminder, youth earn ribbons and money for their fair entries!

We are in need of more volunteers to help students with our 4-H Reality Store Financial Simulation event March 24 & 25. On each day there is a morning session from 8-11am, lunch is provided at 11, and the afternoon session is 11:30-2:30 at the FOR Center. If you are able to volunteer for one or all four sessions, please call Michelle at the Extension Office for detailed info and to signup! 270-753-1452

Students at the Murray-Calloway Area Technology Center participate in their 4-H Career Readiness club practicing leadership, communication, and professional soft skills. Last month they discussed qualities of a good leader and good team members, and then had a chance to practice with a “helium stick” activity. The goal was to lower the stick to the ground, but the task is deceivingly difficult. It was a great chance to practice staying cool during a frustrating task and we had a little fun too!

We are also looking for a few more camp counselors age 16+ to chaperone our youth. If you are unsure about sending your child to camp, this is a great way to experience 4-H Camp magic together!
