The Illinois Fire Inspectors Association is seeking presenters for the 2027 Fire & Life Safety Conference. If interested, please click and fill out the form.

What we are seeking:
* General Session speakers
* Codes/Inspector “track” presenters
* Fire and Life Safety “track” presenters
* Fire Investigation “track” presenters

The conference will run from March 10th, 2027 (8am)- March 12th, 2027 (12pm); with a 4-hour pre-conference session on March 9th, 2027 from 1p-4p

Please get your topics in ASAP. The conference committee is well underway with planning and locking in speakers.

We look forward to what you all can bring to us in Illinois from across the country!

🔥 Supporting Fire & Life Safety Education Across Illinois 🔥

The Illinois Fire Inspectors Association (IFIA) was proud to support the NFPA “Steps to Safety: Fall and Fire Prevention” Instructor Training held at the Plainfield Fire Protection District.

The class welcomed 80 Fire and Life Safety Educators, Fire Inspectors, and Community Partners from across Illinois, all committed to expanding their knowledge and sharing proven strategies to help older adults prevent falls and reduce the risk of home fires.

A special thank you to 1-800-BOARDUP for partnering with IFIA to sponsor lunch and refreshments for the attendees. Strong partnerships like these help make quality training opportunities possible and strengthen fire and life safety education throughout Illinois.

Together, we are investing in education, collaboration, and safer communities.
