Fire Shield Award

This evening, Firefighter Patrick O’Shea was honored with the Fire Shield Award by the Knights of Columbus.

The Knights of Columbus Fire Shield Award is presented annually to recognize firefighters who exemplify exceptional courage, professionalism, leadership, and dedication to protecting their communities. The award honors individuals who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty through outstanding service, commitment to public safety, and selfless devotion to others, reflecting the core values of integrity, faith, and service upheld by the Knights of Columbus.

We would also like to thank Chief Mike Nunn for nominating Patrick for this well-deserved recognition.

The members of FMBA Local 70 congratulate Patrick on receiving this prestigious award and thank him for his continued dedication and service to the residents of Morris Township.

FMBA Local 70 Welcomes Our Newest Member

Today, July 6, 2026, FMBA Local 70 is proud to welcome our newest career firefighter, Tahj Valentine (Badge #50), to the Morris Township Fire Department.

Tahj has been a dedicated member of the Woodland Hook & Ladder Company since the age of 18, demonstrating his commitment to the fire service and his community.

We are excited to have Tahj join our ranks and look forward to the contributions he will make throughout his career.

Please join us in welcoming Firefighter Valentine to FMBA Local 70 and wishing him a long, safe, successful, and rewarding career. Congratulations, Tahj!

1st Annual Kevin P. Flanagan Memorial Picnic

This afternoon, current and retired members of FMBA Locals 70 and 270, along with their families, attended the 1st Annual Kevin P. Flanagan Memorial Picnic.

Members enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, clams, along with a variety of sides and desserts. It was a great afternoon filled with laughter, camaraderie, and time spent together.

This picnic was organized by members to honor the memory of our brother, Kevin P. Flanagan, whom we lost last summer. Kevin’s dedication, friendship, and impact on those around him will never be forgotten. Today’s gathering served as a reminder that while he may no longer be with us, he will always remain a part of our FMBA family.
