Here's what your evening looks like on June 20th. ✨

3–6 PM — Arrive to a curated art exhibition featuring New Jersey's best emerging and established artists. Bid on original works in a silent auction, sip cocktails, and enjoy live music from classical guitarist George Attisano, guitar duo Lenin Pazmiño & Carlos Chong, and the BLUES people.

6 PM — The New Jersey Symphony takes the stage, performing a crowd-pleasing mix of classical favorites, Broadway, pop, and patriotic hits. And as they play, contemporary artist Serena Bo****no will create a live painting inspired by the music in real time.
It's a full evening. And there's nothing else like it.

Join Morris Arts for Giralda reimagined — a midsummer gathering where the arts are celebrated at every turn.

The afternoon begins with a curated exhibition of art by some of New Jersey’s best emerging and established artists. Guests can bid on their original works in a silent auction.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy live music by classical guitarist George Attisano and guitar duo Lenin Pazmiño and Carlos Chong, and the electrifying BLUES People bringing their signature New Sound of NYC/Northern NJ Blues to the stage.

At 6 PM, New Jersey Symphony will perform a crowd-pleasing mix of classical favorites, Broadway, pop, and patriotic hits.

As the Symphony performs, acclaimed contemporary artist Serena Bo****no will create a live painting inspired by the music in real time — an immersive fusion of sound, movement, and color.

Set at the beautiful Annunciation Center at Saint Elizabeth University, with performances in the state-of-the-art Dolan Performance Hall, the evening blends music, visual art, and summer celebration into one unforgettable experience.

From reducing cortisol levels and managing symptoms, to promoting relaxation and empathy, the arts are a vital tool in the healthcare toolkit. Yet for many, creative engagement is still treated as an "extra."

At Morris Arts, we are working to change that narrative. We are dedicated to expanding our Arts in Health programming to ensure that the arts are recognized not as a luxury, but as a pillar of health for everyone. This includes the No More Empty Chairs Project, which uses art to transform absence into connection.

Isolation is one of the most significant challenges to mental well-being. Fortunately, the arts offer a powerful antidote.

Beyond the individual stress-reduction benefits of making art, creative programming acts as a bridge, fostering social connections and a sense of belonging. When we create together, we reduce feelings of isolation and build the empathetic bonds that keep a community resilient. Additionally, adults who engage in community arts activities can experience up to a 48% lower risk of developing depression.

From our Creative Aging programs to our Her Words initiative, Morris Arts brings people together in shared spaces to do more than just make art—we make connections.

Our newest program, the No More Empty Chair Project, fusing art with community through honoring those in our community who are no longer with us.
