A uniquely accessible community for the Deaf, DeafBlind, Blind & Hard of Hearing in Western NC (It is not a HUD project; no government funding is involved.)

Alder Springs is the nation's first nonprofit 501(c)(3) community designed especially for the deaf and blind. It is developed by and is owned by the North Carolina School for the Deaf at Morganton Foundation and funded entirely by private donations, grants, and loans. Occupancy revenues from Alder Springs will be used for the community's operating costs, maintenance, repayment of loans, and expansion. All remaining funds will be used to enrich the educational experiences of students at the NC School for the Deaf.

A haunting tale of dark secrets, eerie marshes, moaning winds, and a mysterious spectre unfolds in Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost story, brought to life in Stephen Mallatratt’s ingenious stage adaptation. Dare to enter a world where fear lurks in the shadows, and not everything is as it seems…

SPECIAL DEAF-INCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE - The Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 PM performance will feature ASL interpreters, making the experience more accessible for our Deaf community.

Ticket proceeds from this performance will benefit Alder Springs Deaf and Blind Community in Morganton.
