Calling all fly tyers! Our friends at the Southern Fly Tyers Guild have their next event on April 18, 2026. This is a great opportunity for beginner and expert fly tyers to come together for a good cause. Flies tied at this outing will be donated to Casting for Hope as well as our sister organizations Casting Carolinas and The Mayfly Project to be used at retreats. RSVP by emailing [email protected].

Calling all Volunteers! Consider joining us on Saturday, March 28th at our Retreat Center in Bakersville, NC for a Tree Planting Outing. Thanks to a generous donation from Trout Unlimited, we will be planting native trees alongside Little Rock Creek to further restore areas of our property that were damaged during Hurricane Helene. 🙏 🌱

Our Retreat Center is where we host our Survivor and Caregiver Retreats, as well as fundraisers that are crucial to our cause. The planting will help restore streambanks damaged by flooding, reduce erosion, and enhance habitat for local wildlife.

Gloves and shovels are reccommended to bring, or come as you are. Please RSVP by reaching out to [email protected].

This volunteer event is made possible thanks to support from the Truist Charitable Fund and the Arbor Day Foundation. Trout Unlimited has planted and distributed more than 3,500 trees in areas impacted by Hurricane Helene, and will plant and distribute more than 10,000 additional trees in 2026. The Arbor Day Foundation’s Community Tree Recovery program, aims to replace trees in communities affected by natural disasters throughout the United States. The program has helped distribute more than 5.3 million trees since its inception in 2005.
