🎬 A BIG MILESTONE FOR MAMBA. A GREAT FILM. A MORE INCLUSIVE TRAIL COMMUNITY. 🚵‍♀️

Join us Tuesday, October 27, at the historic Savoy Theater in downtown Montpelier for a special screening of the award-winning documentary Best Day Ever!

Set in Vermont’s Green Mountains, Best Day Ever follows adaptive mountain bikers Greg Durso and Allie Bianchi as they navigate the challenges of life with a disability and discover freedom, grit, and belonging through mountain biking. It’s an inspiring story about the power of the outdoors and what happens when more people have the opportunity to experience it.

And that message hits close to home.

This summer, MAMBA volunteers and partners wrapped up a major adaptive trail improvement project at North Branch River Park! Together, we widened seven bridges, expanded tight switchbacks, and improved narrow, off-camber trail sections to make the network more accessible for adaptive mountain bikes (aMTBs).

Six years ago, MAMBA built these trails. Today, thanks to an incredible community effort, even more riders can enjoy them. That’s something worth celebrating!

We’re bringing this film to Montpelier to celebrate that milestone, recognize the amazing people who helped make it happen, and keep working toward a future where outdoor recreation is for everyone.

A huge thank-you to our project partners: Black Cat Builders, Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA), Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports, Montpelier Parks, Cabot Creamery, and Onion River Outdoors!

Many thanks to Dan Needleman for leaf blowing our North Branch trails. If you haven't gotten out lately, they're riding great, so don't miss out!

As the season draws to a close, don't forget to join us at our Season Ender Party this Wednesday, October 14th, at the Poolside Pavilion. North Branch group rides start at 5:30 PM, with the grill firing up around 6:30 PM. We'll have b**r and non-alcoholic options courtesy of Zero Gravity B**r!

Send off the Season with MAMBA!

The leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter, and another incredible season of riding, trail work and community is winding down. Before we trade our dirt for snow, let’s get together one more time to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished!

Join MAMBA next Wednesday, October 14th, at the Montpelier Pool Pavilion for our Season Ender Party! We’ll kick things off with North Branch group rides at 5:30 PM, then fire up the grill around 6:30 PM for a barbecue, bonfire, and s’mores. Also, Zero Gravity has graciously sponsored our event with b**r and non-alcoholic options to enjoy around the fire.

This season has been full of great rides, new friendships, and some very meaningful trail work. From early season trail maintenance, to our MAMBA-ORO Tuesday night group rides, to making our North Branch trails adaptive mountain bike friendly, we’ve put in the miles, the sweat, and the teamwork to make our trails better for everyone. Now it’s time to celebrate with the community that makes it all happen!

Bring your bike, bring your friends, and bring your appetite. Let’s close out the riding season the MAMBA way - with good trails, good people, good food and a little firelight.

🍂 A BIG MILESTONE FOR NORTH BRANCH 🚲

As the leaves fell on Sunday morning a volunteer crew put the final screws into a bridge on Sap Sucker opening the majority of North Branch’s terrain to adaptive bikes.

A year ago, MAMBA partnered with VMBA and Vermont Adaptive to identify ways to make our trails work for more riders. Since then, we’ve widened seven bridges, expanded tight switchbacks, and improved narrow, off-camber sections to make North Branch more accessible to wider-tracked bikes.

There’s more work to do, but that last screw marks an important milestone: North Branch is now an adaptive-friendly trail system.

For MAMBA, this project is about removing barriers and making the outdoor recreation we love accessible to more people in our community. We’re proud that trails we built six years ago can now be enjoyed by even more riders.

This project wouldn’t have happened without an incredible group of partners and volunteers. We want to especially thank Dave & Ezra of Black Cat Builders, Montpelier Parks, Cabot Creamery, VMBA, Vermont Adaptive, Onion River Outdoors, and Louis Arevalo who helped ensure the success of this project.

What a night!

Wheelz o’ Steel brought musical mayhem, questionable genre choices, impressive musicianship, and a whole lot of laughter to the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub—and, best of all, raised $1,780 for MAMBA trail building!

A huge thanks to everyone who came out, bought a ticket, cheered on the performers, and turned a crazy night into better trails for our riding community. And of course, thanks to the amazing Wheelz o’ Steel crew and musicians for putting on such a wildly fun show.

Three cheers for Micah Ball, the winner of the nights event, who has etched his name onto the Ultimate Chalice of Indisputable Glory to be remembered for ALL OF TIME!

We’re grateful for a community that knows how to ride hard, laugh hard, and support the trails!

$1,780 for more and better trails.

With the help of Black Cat Builders , we've been widening bridges throughout the North Branch trail network to make us adaptive mountain bike friendly!

There's still more important work to be done, and we're calling out for the support of our amazing MAMBA volunteers to help us continue the important work on this project.

When: Monday, September 21st at 5:30 PM.

Where: The Pool on Elm Street in Montpelier.

Details: We are heading back out to replace the remaining decking that needs to get done to make North Branch safe and adaptive mtb friendly.

What to Bring: Gloves, sturdy footwear, water, and if you have one, a cordless drill with a T25 bit!

UPDATE!

*** ⛈️ Canceled Due to Weather ⛈️ ***

On June 30th, MAMBA + ORO are teed up to head to the Driving Range in Bolton for a fun-filled time. Last year’s adventure didn’t disappoint, and there’s something for everyone here, so be sure to put this one on your calendar.

We’ll meet at 6 PM, split into spicy, medium & mild groups and ride out at 6:15 PM. Hang around afterwards for our post-ride social, throw your favorite grill-ables on the grill, and sip your post-ride beverages!
