A great conference to learn all about renewable energy in Vermont.
Our partners at Renewable Energy Vermont work really hard to put this on every year.

Now in its 25th year, the REV2025 Conference will take place on Wednesday, October 15, at the DoubleTree Hilton in South Burlington, Vermont.

Come join the Vermont Chapter as we propose some more DEI Bike Lanes. Contrary to the fools at the White House, bike paths are great for community development, health, safety, and reducing carbon emissions.

This ride is along the banks of the Connecticut River in what we are calling the Connecticut River Valley Trail. It's a great ride and most likely our last group ride of the season.

Last week, Vermont Chapter Leaders joined students from Vermont Law and Graduate School on a hike up Kent's Ledge and a discussion.

Help Vermont get cheaper energy, not fossil fools!
Molly Gray, candidate for Lt. Governor, believes “now is the time to double down, not back down, on investments in renewable energy produced right here in Vermont. Last week, thanks to Taylor Schaefer, the Sierra Club joined students from the Vermont Law and Graduate School Outdoors Club for an access to discussion and the attempts to gut the .

The event featured two VLGS alums who work for Sierra Club, Nat Shoaf, Environmental Law Program Senior Attorney, and Robb Kidd, Vermont Chapter Director. The event also included Alex Craven, Sierra Club Forest Campaign Manager, and Bob Galvin, Vermont Volunteer Coordinator, and Vermont Executive Committee Member Neil Gowsami (also a 2L student)

You can't make America Healthy with more pollution.

New cars could soon be less fuel efficient and drivers could pay the price.

Sierra Club, along with a coalition of environmental and consumer protection groups, is suing the Trump administration over its rollback of federal fuel economy standards.

The weakened standards would mean:

⛽ 121+ billion more gallons of fuel consumed through 2050
💸 $1,600+ more in fuel costs over the lifetime of affected vehicles
🚗 New vehicles in 2031 could be less efficient than vehicles from 2024

The standards being rolled back were projected to save drivers 64 billion gallons of gas and deliver $35 billion in savings to consumers over the lifetimes of the vehicles covered.

Drivers shouldn’t have to pay more at the pump because automakers are being allowed to make less-efficient cars.

We’ll keep fighting for fuel economy standards that save consumers money and reduce wasted fuel. Read more: https://bit.ly/4xVioNl

One last ride of the season.

As the Vermont Chapter is working hard to develop the Connecticut River Valley Bike Path, we want to host one more group ride of the season on October 18 (weather-dependent).

This will be the third time hosting this ride from Norwich to Thetford, then to Hanover, and back to Norwich. It's a moderate ride, but it is nearly 25 miles.

Come enjoy the ride with us.
