The meeting was brought to order by Miss Gladys Lewis and turned over to Mrs. Hazel White, National Organizer, of Concord, N.H. Mrs. Whi

te stated that Vermont was one of the few States not previously organized and it was a pleasure to see that there was so much interest and she hoped by the end of the evening she could send word to the National Convention in progress in Miami that Vermont had organized. Miss Mary Tucker, of Montpelier, was appointed Temporary Chairman for the evening and selected the following committee as a Nominating Committee to bring in names for the offices of President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer:

Bertha Higgs
Carryl Carter
Elenore Pray
Marjorie DeCelle
Priscilla Dean

During the interim, a tentative Constitution and By-Laws was read by Mrs. White an accepted until a later date. The name selected for this group was: Vermont Association of Insurance Women. The Nominating Committee brought in the following Officers who were voted on and accepted:

President: Miss H. Minerva Hinchey, Rutland
Vice-President: Miss Elenore Pray, Burlington
Sec. & Treas: Miss Gladys Lewis, Rutland

The meeting was then turned over to Miss Hinchey. It was decided to hold the next meeting in Burlington, Tuesday, Sept. 20th. It was voted to send the new President, Miss Hinchey, to the Maine Convention in Kennebunkport, June 24, 25 & 26th. Miss Hinchey appointed the following Regional Directors:

A telegram of congratulations was sent Miss. Gladys Lewis, Sec. & Treas. the next morning. As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned.”
