Garden Summer Care Volunteers Needed
Hello Families,
We have had so much fun learning in the garden this school year and have gotten to experience it for 3 of the 4 seasons. To keep the garden healthy and ready for Fall exploration, we need your help to keep it alive during the summer months. We ask that you sign up for a week to care for the garden. This will include watering 2 to 3 times a week (it takes about 30 minutes) and weeding for 15 to 20 minutes each time you visit. When you visit, you will also be able to smell and taste all the berries in the garden as they begin to ripen. In years past, families have turned it into a picnic date and enjoyed lunch from home or the free lunch program offered by the district. Please write your name and your child's name on a week/s during the summer to sign up. Once you have signed up, directions will be shared so you can access all the tools and water necessities.
