Today was day 1 of the PAC NW Games and Bearcats were everywhere! Adam played SS for team orange and went 2-3 with 2 RBI, a run and a walk. Maddox tossed 3 innings doing what he does-controlling the strike zone and inducing weak ground balls all over the infield. Both represented themselves very well. Some former Bearcats were working the games-Harlan (2024), Connor (2023) and Caleb (2026) all helped run the showcase which featured coaches from more than 30 colleges. Nice work Cats!!

One final look back at a historic 2026 Monroe High School Baseball season.

The Players:
To the 33 young men who suited up this year: thank you. You showed us what sportsmanship, hustle, and heart look like. We witnessed incredible comeback victories, endured a few heartbreakers, and watched you grow exponentially every week. Making it to Round 2 of the State tournament is a massive achievement, and you earned every bit of it. Crush it with your summer teams, and we'll see you back at MHS in Spring 2027.

The Leaders:
To our seniors—AJ, Alec, and Caleb. True leadership isn't just about what you do when the cameras are on; it's about how you mentor the next generation. You held the line when things got tough, celebrated your teammates' success, and set a standard of excellence. Only three teams in the last 30 years of Bearcat history have reached Round 2 of State, and your legacy is cemented in that stat. Go be the great men you are destined to be.

The Turning Point:
To our coaching staff—Connor, Josh, Mitch, Ronnie, Trent, and Ben. Taking over a program just two weeks before the season starts is a daunting task, but you didn't just steady the ship; you guided it to a historic finish. Thank you for sacrificing countless hours with your own families to serve as phenomenal role models for our boys. The results on the field were amazing, but the impact you made on their lives is permanent.

The Foundation:
To Joe, Megan, and Brea of the Booster Executive Board. We started this journey from literally nothing. Four years of hard work, creativity, and dedication have transformed us into a legitimate 501(c)(3) that is leaving the incoming board in fantastic financial health. You geared this program up for long-term success.

The Community:
To our parents and fans—especially Dan on the DJ decks, our rockstar fundraisers, the game-day volunteers, and the banquet crew. A program is only as strong as its community, and you proved we have the best. And finally, a huge thank you to Colten and Lucy for capturing the magic of this season through your lenses.

Hell of a battle boys. Fought to the last out dropping to Kennewick 5-4. We’re incredibly proud of you all!!

24 hours.

24 hours until our Bearcats take the field again in their pursuit of a State Championship.

Two straight walk-off playoff wins.
15 consecutive scoreless innings from the pitching staff.
A Round One victory already secured.

Now, only 16 teams remain — all chasing the same dream.

This Bearcat team is built different. Resilient. Relentless. Tough.
They’ll sacrifice their bodies to keep a ball from reaching the outfield. They’ll leave their feet to steal away hits in the gap.
They’ll turn singles into doubles with pure hustle.
They’ll take an extra base the second you lose focus.
And they’ll pound the strike zone from first pitch to last out.

Tomorrow at 10 AM in Kennewick, the journey continues as the Bearcats take the next step toward a State Championship.

Let’s pack the stands. Let’s be loud. Let’s cheer on the Cats. 🐾

The Cardiac Cats do it again!

For the second straight game, the Bearcats delivered a dramatic 1-0 walk-off victory, battling their way through Round 1 of the State Tournament in thrilling fashion. Behind a dominant complete-game shutout performance from Campbell and patient, disciplined at-bats all game long, the Cats found a way when it mattered most.

These Bearcats continue to fight, compete, and refuse to quit — and now they’re headed to Round 2 of State!
