🚨 IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT 🚨

After closely monitoring the air quality throughout the day, we've made the decision to cancel practice for tonight to prioritize the health and safety of our athletes, coaches, and families.
We know everyone is excited to be back together, but with the current air quality, we feel this is the safest choice. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
We'll continue to monitor conditions and keep everyone updated regarding future practices. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the field as soon as the air quality improves.

🚨 MYFA Bearcats Air Quality Update πŸΎπŸ§‘πŸ–€

The health and safety of our athletes will always come first.
With the current wildfire smoke impacting our area, we are closely monitoring the Air Quality Index (AQI) throughout the day. Our practice decisions will follow the AQI guidelines shown below.

🏈 Today's Plan:
β€’ If the AQI remains 150 or below, practice will continue with appropriate modifications as needed.
β€’ If the AQI reaches 150 or higher, practice will be canceled to ensure the safety of our athletes and coaches.
We are actively looking into securing an indoor facility whenever air quality becomes a concern. At this time, all local indoor spaces are unavailable, but we will continue working to find an option for future practices.

⏰ A final decision regarding today's practice will be made by 2:00 PM and shared on our page & via crossbar. Please keep an eye out for updates before heading to the field.

Tonight was a beautiful reminder of what makes our community so special. πŸ§‘πŸ–€

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by and supported Monroe Youth Football & Cheer at National Night Out! Whether you came to say hello, signed up, asked questions, or simply cheered us on, we are so grateful for every conversation and every smiling face.

An extra special thank you goes out to everyone who stuck it out despite the smoky conditions. Your support means more than you know, and seeing our community show up for our kidsβ€”even when the air wasn't idealβ€”speaks volumes about the heart of Monroe.

With National Night Out behind us, our season has officially begun! Our football players and cheerleaders are already putting in the work, building friendships, learning discipline, and growing stronger every day. The excitement is real, and we can't wait to watch these athletes shine both on and off the field.

With the hot weather we're experiencing, the safety of our athletes is our top priority.

🌞 Please make sure your football players and cheerleaders begin hydrating well before practice tonight. Don't wait until they arriveβ€”encourage them to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
πŸ’§ Please send them with extra water! We will have hydration breaks between every station, and athletes are welcome to stop and get water anytime they need it.
🚫 There will be NO conditioning tonight. We'll be adjusting practice to help keep everyone safe while still having a productive evening.

The forecast looks much cooler by Thursday, but for today, let's all do our part to help our athletes stay healthy and hydrated.
