(478)

In addition to investigating animal cruelty crimes and providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to animals who have suffered from abuse and neglect, we also advocate for better laws to protect animals and work to educate the public about how they can help end animal suffering. Through our uniquely comprehensive programs, we are able to help thousands of animals every year and spread a message of compassion to countless people.

This is Lexy! She is a beautiful, 35lb, 9-month-old shepherd mix who has shown us just how ready she is for a fresh start.

Lexy *loves* humans, non-reactive to cats, and is fast to make friends with other pups. She might take a quick pause with new men, but come prepped with treats and it's right back to getting love. She is food motivated, so bonding and training are a breeze.

Lexy is the definition of happy-go-lucky, and she's excited to soak up all the crisp Washington fall air with her forever family. If you've been looking for a small-to-medium-sized pup to join your family, this girl is waiting to meet you!

Little Tallulah has been waiting 170 days to find a family. She is a gentle 1-year-old grey tabby who was dumped in Yakima at a very young age. After lots of love from her friends in Kitty City, she is ready to shine and officially put her past behind her.

Food is the way to Tallulah's heart, and despite being a cat, she has mastered the art of puppy-dog eyes. This little queen can be shy, but is more than ready to make your house a home. Her adoption fee has been *halved* for October, in the hopes that someone will come forward and give her the loving life she deserves. If you're seeing this post, that someone could be you!

Let's find Tallulah her happily ever after!

Our incredible team on the mobile Spay Station performed yet another emergency pyometra surgery last week to save this sweet cat, Evie. Pyometra is a life-threatening infection that impacts cats and dogs who aren't spayed. Without immediate surgery, it is fatal.

Evie fought hard and thankfully made it through surgery! She still had a long way to go in her recovery, so after waking up, she was transported to another clinic for overnight care to continue her journey.

Even if your pet doesn't go outside, even if you think it'll change their personality (it won't), even if you think it's not that important -- PLEASE, SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!

Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible, including all of our supporters and the entire team on SS2. Evie pulled through because of you.

Big boy Chuck came to us as a stray with half an ear left and the cutest round face ever. Living on the streets of Yakima was tough on him, so he's been getting his bearings in Kitty City for about 6 weeks.

With a little love and patience from our team, Chuck has started choosing his favorite people and showing us the undercover cuddle bug beneath his fuzzy exterior. Just look at that face. Perfect.

Chuck is 4 years old, FIV+, and a premium 12 lb lap warmer. He'd love a patient, relaxed home of big cat lovers with lots of cozy spots to call his own. If you'd like to meet him, apply here: https://bit.ly/CatApplicationForm
