And families facing challenges need to stay together. Research shows that pets are a critical form of support when facing hardship. Having to surrender a pet adds trauma to already difficult circumstances and often results in people who can't or won't care for themselves if it means sacrificing their pet. We provide one of a kind services that remove pet-related barriers that prevent families from

achieving financial, housing, safety and medical stability. So that together they can be healthy and happy - as they belong.

Our mobile outreach program is about to be stalled.

Beck's Place travels to four locations throughout Snohomish County each month to provide pet food and supplies to people receiving human services. These families love their pets and in this economy, are struggling more than ever.

Last year we distributed ~10,000 pounds of food and thousands of supply items. This year the demand is higher than ever. With rising food costs for pets and people, more people are reaching out for help and we don't always have enough pet food for everyone who shows up.

Cat food, especially dry food is our most urgent need. We also need dog food - we are down to a few bags in storage. Our next outreach is May 9th. Here is how you can help...

Meet Missy. She is a sweet pup who needed a safe place to land when her owner faced an unexpected emergency. Within no time, we were able to get her placed in a warm, loving foster home where she was cared for and loved for 6 days.

And the best part? Her owner made it through their emergency, Missy avoided being surrendered to a shelter, and now they are back together where they belong.

This is exactly why foster networks matter. One family in crisis, one family who opened their home, and one very happy dog who never had to feel alone.

Thank you to our incredible foster family for being a safe harbor for Missy. You made all the difference.
