Moncks Corner Police Officer and Rotarian, Robert Hobart, was awarded this Citation by Frontline Hero’s for rescuing a non-verbal autistic child. This event led to the decision to train local officers to recognize and be able to assist nonverbal and disabled people in the community.

Another round of bags filled by our members with thematic blankets, bedsheets, and stuffed animals were delivered earlier today by the Davis family to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. Teaming up with Cole's Victory Lap in the last year has been a humbling opportunity for our members to assist this wonderful nonprofit in bringing joy, emotional support, and comfort to children undergoing cancer treatment at our local Children’s Hospital.

We look forward to continuing this sponsorship during the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Community members and local businesses can help us continue, and possibly even increase, the financial support given for these bags through a variety of ways at our Fall Fundraiser - the Annual Golf Tournament ⛳️ held at Berkeley Country Club. Save the date for October 15 and watch for details to be released in the coming weeks!

Passing the Gavel: Mike Davis became our Past-President at our last evening social and Tyler Jenkins became our Moncks Corner President for the next two years. Sonya Addison-Stewart was sworn in as our new President-Elect, Kimberly Nolte as our returning Secretary, and April Elswick as our newest Member-at-Large Board Member.

Thank you, Mike, for your dedicated service, inspiring leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Moncks Corner Rotary Club over the past two years. Your hard work and true embodiment of "Service Above Self" have left a lasting impact on our community. We are incredibly grateful for your time and vision.

We look forward to a 2026-2027 year full of community service opportunities, business and community networking, and educational growth through RLI trainings and presentations by business and community leaders at our monthly lunch meetings.

*More Board Member installation for the 2026-2027 fiscal year will take place at an upcoming meeting.

At our last evening social, Rotarian Tom Curtis was presented with his first Paul Harris Fellow pin by his brother, Alan, who is a Rotarian in New Bern, NC. “Established in 1957, it is one of the highest honors in Rotary and can be awarded to both Rotarians and non-Rotarians who exemplify the organization's ideals of community service.”
