Kudos to the incredible ATC Mobile HC-144B crew of CGNR 2312 and the dedicated Air Station New Orleans MH-60T crew of CGNR 6041, true heroes in action!

🚨 🚢
On Friday, the duty crew of Coast Guard Rescue 6041 🚁 launched in coordination with U.S. Coast Guard Heartland to conduct a MEDEVAC of a child experiencing appendicitis aboard a cruise ship.

Working alongside U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Center 2312 āœˆļø, the crew located the vessel approximately 200 nautical miles offshore and safely hoisted the child, a parent, and medical personnel from the ship. The patient was then transported to Manning Family Children’s Hospital and arrived in stable condition. šŸ„

We’re grateful for the seamless efforts of everyone involved in helping ensure this young patient received the care they needed.
Congratulations to CDR Mitchell Wurster on her last flight at Air Station New Orleans after 7 years of dedicated service!
Bravo Zulu to the crew! šŸ‘āš“
