The United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association is unique among service organizations in that it was created by the Chiefs, of the Chiefs, and for the Chiefs of the United States Coast Guard. Ever mindful of:

the traditions, duties and purpose of the United States Coast guard,
our duty to uphold and defend the constitution on the United States of America,
our responsibility to assist and save distressed seamen and others,
our responsibility in the enforcement of the laws of our Country, and in believing that through association and mutual acquaintance, the Chief Petty Officers of the United States Coast Guard may:

best advance their professional abilities,
enhance their value, loyalty and devotion to God, Country and service in which they serve,
promote its unity and morale domestically and militarily through responsible leadership,
assist members and dependents in urgent need of assistance,
assist in recruiting for the Coast Guard,
support the aims and goals of the CPO Academy,
assemble for social amenities,
become involved in community affairs,
promote social programs for those in need,
keep informed of Coast Guard matters

Last Wednesday, our small but mighty team of five showed up and got to work again! Together, we packed 235 boxes for families in our community, each one filled with care and support.

A huge shout-out to Feeding the Gulf Coast for the vital work you do every day. Because of you, families can count on reliable access to food and hope. We’re truly grateful to be part of that impact.

To everyone who showed up, jumped in, and made a difference: thank you! We’re proud to serve alongside you!

A big thank you to First Command for your wonderful support of the Captain Caliendo College Assistance Fund (CCCAF) for the USCG CPOA. Your generous gift of $2,500 will truly help deserving students by providing valuable college financial aid. We're excited to share that additional scholarship opportunities will be announced soon. We deeply appreciate your ongoing commitment, both nationally and locally, especially the warm support from our Biloxi team as we strive to create more opportunities through the CCCAF.

First Command’s Sarasota, Florida team was proud to support the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association's 2026 CCCAF Scholarship Program. Through scholarships that help students continue their education, the program invests in the future of Coast Guard families. We're honored to be part of that mission.

Thank you for your generous donation to the USCG CPOA Mobile Chapter. Your support helps keep our Coasties hydrated and prepared during demanding labor and field activities, including an upcoming softball tournament on November 19, 2026, hosted by our counterparts, the CGEA Mobile Branch.

If you’ve never heard of a Purple Heart School, it’s more than just a name. It represents a school community that truly shows heart for service members through kindness, support, and meaningful ways of honoring and uplifting those who serve.

Mrs. Bartley and the students at Taylor White Elementary have truly demonstrated what that looks like. Thank you for giving with purpose and caring about the Coasties in a way we’ll always remember. 💙💜

What an incredible day at the 46th Annual USCG Chief Petty Officers Association – Mobile Chapter Picnic yesterday! 🇺🇸

We are truly amazed by the turnout and loved seeing so many past, present, and future Coasties, members of other military branches, families, friends, and community supporters come together for a day of food, fellowship, laughter, and creating memories.

One of the highlights of the day was welcoming the newest Honorary Member of the CPOA Mobile Chapter, ATC Mobile’s CAPT Matt Matsuoka! Sir, you are officially part of our OHANA, and we’re proud to have you as part of the family. 🤙

CGEA put on an amazing co****le tournament with the Winners being Matt Smith and Zach Thoman, BZ guys. And thank you so much for the support from the CGEA crew!

We also had some very special four-legged guests! 🐾 The Mobile County Animal Shelter brought out 18 animals, and we’re thrilled that 3 found their forever homes during the picnic! ❤️ Even better, the remaining 15 were sponsored for their future families when they return to the shelter. There was no shortage of puppy breath, cuddles, belly rubs, and long walks, and we’re pretty sure the pups enjoyed all the attention just as much as we enjoyed having them there!

A huge thank you to Jill with First Command, Charles with Port City Trailers, and Zane Galbert, Nick with Guardian Coin’s, Lexi with OWA Water Park and Resort, The Unroe’s with Pink Peonies, and The Gator Lounge for continuing to support us and always treating our Chapter like family. Your friendship and support mean more to us than you know, and we truly appreciate everything you do for our Coast Guard community.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, helped behind the scenes, or simply came out and enjoyed the day with us, THANK YOU! Events like this are special because of the people who show up and make them that way.
