Cody Sherman is the kind of person everyone’s proud to know, a loyal friend, a hardworking business owner, a devoted husband, and an incredible father to four beautiful children.

Over the years, Cody has poured everything he has into building Southern Tide Property Maintenance Co. His determination, skill, and work ethic helped him create a successful career that supported his family. He didn’t cut corners. He learned his trade, perfected it, and built something meaningful from the ground up.

But everything changed in an instant.

A tragic boating accident took the life of his wife, Brittney, the love of his life, whom he’d been with for 14 years. Their youngest son suffered a severe head injury and underwent emergency brain surgery. Cody himself was seriously injured. And now, in the middle of healing and grieving, he’s trying to hold it all together for his kids, emotionally, physically, and financially.

Now, Cody has the opportunity to win $30,000 to invest back into Southern Tide Property Maintenance Co. This funding would allow him to upgrade equipment, expand services, and hire additional help, giving the business the boost it needs to thrive even in this challenging season. There has been so much devastation lately in the communities surrounding our client base! Truth is, we never know when our last time with our loved ones will be.

I (Brandi) grew up in the Saraland/Satsuma area, but Britney was quite a few years younger than I am, so I didn’t know her and I’m not certain I know anyone in either of their families personally. That doesn’t matter a bit to me! She was a wife, a mama to those precious babies, and I’m sure so many other things to anyone who knew and loved her.

WE WANT TO GIVE BACK! Family is what the two of us believe in most and it is why we started this business. To allow Matt to hang up his hard hat in the oilfield and be home with his family every single day. It’s what allowed me to resign from my job when we moved to Alabama, in turn allowing me to be present with my family! Family is one of God’s greatest gifts and we want to rally behind the beautiful one that Britney helped create!

For the next few weeks Rim2Trim will donate 15-20% of every vehicle we detail that mentions this post to the Sherman family! Once we stop the benefit for Britney’s family, I’ve been in touch with the sweet lady who I will hand over the proceeds we raise to. Any donations received from seeing this post will 100% go directly to the family!

Our hearts are heavy as we share that our beloved Customer Service Representative, Becky, is facing unimaginable loss. Her daughter-in-law, Brittney, tragically passed away in a boating accident in Bayou Sara last weekend. Brittney leaves behind her husband, Cody, and their four young children—one of whom is still fighting to recover from serious injuries.

As a work family, we are heartbroken for the Shermans. Through the end of June we will be donating a portion of all sales directly to support the Sherman family during this devastating time.

To our loyal customers—thank you. By continuing to support our business, you’re also standing with a family who needs all the love, prayers, and help they can get. 💔

Cody is forever grateful for the outpouring love y’all have shown him and his family. Their house is LOADED down with food, formula, diapers, wipes etc. Thank you all so so much. If you would love to help please donate to their go fund me, or gift cards. As we don’t want things to go bad before they are used. Again thank you thank you thank you. I know Brittney has the biggest smile on her face right now. 🤍✨
