Our BID Services Team hit the streets early this morning for Hurricane Isaias cleanup! We hope everyone stayed safe and look forward to welcoming everyone back downtown!

Operations have now resumed. If you see an area that needs attention within the Business Improvement District, please call the hotline at 251-327-7233.

Over 300 sandbags filled and ready! We are grateful for our BID Services team working so hard to prepare our downtown for Hurricane Isaias!

As Hurricane Isaias approaches, Downtown Mobile businesses, residents, and visitors are encouraged to take a few extra precautions and stay informed.

BID Services Update

• BID Services will pause operations after 4 p.m. Friday and resume as soon as it is safe Saturday morning to assess conditions and begin clearing storm-related debris and damage.

• Sandbags are available to DMA Business Members and BID Property Owners for pickup. Call the BID Services Hotline at 251-327-7233 by 11 a.m. Friday to reserve your sandbags for pickup.

• Follow our social media for additional updates as conditions develop.

Downtown Safety Reminders ‼️

• Secure outdoor furniture, signs, planters, and other loose items before the storm.
• Move vehicles to a safe location and avoid parking near trees or flood-prone areas.
• Avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. If you must drive, slow down and watch for standing water, debris, and downed power lines.
• Never drive through flooded streets
• Give emergency crews and utility workers plenty of room to work.
• Keep phones and backup batteries charged and monitor updates from local officials.
• Check on neighbors, employees, and others who may need assistance.

As we enter our 20th year, we’ve taken the time to realize who we are, where we’re headed and how we show up for Downtown Mobile.

Over the years, Downtown Mobile has continued to grow and evolve — and so have we. We wanted our brand to reflect that energy: refreshed, creative, and connected, but still rooted in the heart of our city.

Today, we’re excited to officially unveil the new Downtown Mobile Alliance brand.

This is more than a new logo or a new look. We’re also introducing a new website and a refreshed newsletter, making it easier than ever to discover what’s happening Downtown, connect with local businesses, find events and stay informed about the work happening in our community.

This is a reflection of where we’re going — with a renewed focus on connecting people, supporting our businesses and telling the story of everything happening Downtown Mobile.
