On July 14–16, 2026, the Integrative Therapeutic Harp Conference will take place in Bologna, Italy, at the International Museum and Library of Music, with both in-person and online participation available.
This conference is an international event entirely dedicated to the therapeutic harp, bringing together more than 25 speakers from around the world to explore the healing power of the harp through research, clinical practice, vibroacoustics, music therapy, sound healing, and intentional music.
The event will take place in Bologna, a UNESCO Creative City of Music and the host city of the upcoming World Congress of Music Therapy. It offers a unique opportunity to gather harpists, therapeutic musicians, harp therapists, music therapists, researchers, and practitioners in a setting deeply connected to music history and culture.
The conference will include presentations from speakers based in the United States, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Hong Kong, and Canada, with contributions on topics such as harp therapy in hospitals, neonatal care, palliative care, oncology, Alzheimer’s care, Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain, high sensitivity, vibroacoustic harp therapy, mindfulness, coherence, memory, and therapeutic improvisation.
To make the event accessible to an international audience, simultaneous interpretation with text and audio will be available in Italian, English, and French. Online participants will also have unlimited access to session replays through the Resonantya online platform.
The conference is directed and organized by Marianne Gubri, harpist, researcher, therapeutic musician, and director of Resonantya, with editorial and scientific collaboration from Sarajane Williams and Silvia Maserati. A collaboration with the Harp Therapy Journal is also in place for the publication of selected conference papers.
