We bloomed together! 🌸 Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Twin Cities R!SE raised more than $460,000 at last month’s R!SE to the Occasion 2026 Gala.

Plus, an anonymous donor matched $100,000 in new and increased gifts. These resources will provide jobseekers with training, coaching, and job placement that will foster growth throughout the Twin Cities.

As our Volunteer & Internship Coordinator, Tynaia has supported R!SERs, volunteers, interns, and staff with care, patience, and follow-through. We’re grateful for the way she has shown up for this work year after year.

Twin Cities R!SE was proud to attend and serve as a table sponsor at the Tools for Tomorrow Breakfast hosted by our incredible community partner, Small Sums.

One of the most powerful moments of the morning was hearing directly from a former Small Sums participant who shared his firsthand experience.

After reentering society following incarceration, he explained that the support he received from Small Sums went far beyond tools and work supplies. It gave him confidence and helped him feel seen, respected, and prepared for a new chapter at a time when he needed it most.

Today, he’s in a position to give back by helping connect others to the same support that helped him begin his journey.

At TCR, we know lasting career success is about more than employment. It also takes confidence, opportunity, and a strong network of support.

We’re grateful to share community spaces and partnerships with organizations like Small Sums that are making a lasting impact every day.

For the past 10 years, Stephanie has been a valued part of the TCR team, bringing heart, empathy, and encouragement to her role as our Education & Training Program Assistant. We’re grateful for all she has poured into this work over the years.

This season at TCR has been full of 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘!

We recently celebrated R!SERs in our 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝗠𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 cohorts as they completed their 𝟴-𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Some are preparing to start 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀. Some are beginning 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀. Every R!SER is moving forward with 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗼𝗻-𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 from their Career Readiness and Placement Coach as they take their next steps toward 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

At TCR, the support does not end when training is complete.

Our Career Readiness and Placement Coaches continue supporting R!SERs for 𝟮+ 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 because getting the job is one step. Keeping it, growing in it, and continuing forward matter too.

A proud daughter of Saint Paul’s historic Rondo community, Jamela has been sharing her powerful voice since the age of four. Over a 25-year career, she has performed with renowned artists, contributed to community-centered collaborations, and was inducted into the Minnesota Blues Society Hall of Fame. She is also a longtime admirer and supporter of Twin Cities R!SE.
