Police are investigating after they say a man was shot on a Twin Cities highway Wednesday evening.

From the family of Amarie Alowonle. Amarie was shot and killed at a gathering at Sanborn Park in Robbinsdale Minnesota on May 4, 2025 at approximately 9:20 pm. To date no one has been held accountable. We still need Justice for all of our falling Angels!
Amarie gained her wings but deserved to live her life like many other kids! Not only will we walk for Amarie but we do this for the kids that are still living, this could’ve happened to anyone, it happened to me! Trust me, you will Never be prepared for your child to die! I hope less families will have to burry their children. Most can’t imagine this happening because I didn’t! I am here to tell you it’s Horrible, by far the worst thing that can happen to anyone! Most nights I can’t sleep it’s a tough pill to swallow! This is bigger than me, it’s world wide and happening every day! We have to protect our kids at all cost! I would walk a million times for Mari even if it meant saving someone else!

Amarie was taken away from her family and friends a year ago. To date no one has been held accountable for her death. She was at a gathering at a park in Robbinsdale Minnesota when an altercation broke out between two groups. Amarie was shot in the head and passed away. We know someone knows something! Amarie and her family and friends deserve justice for such a young g innocent life gone too soon! Please speak up and provide this family with the answers they deserve. First, our sincerest condolences and apologies (for failing him as a community) to his family, especially to his children! May your memories get you through this difficult time and the times of difficulties ahead! We didn’t know Harvey (last name unknown) but from every post we’ve seen he was someone everyone loved. He was a businessman and a father. From accounts, he also seem to be a jokester!

But yesterday, September 14, 2021, someone decided to take his life! Leaving many behind to mourn and try to understand this loss! Minnesota has been suffering loss, after loss, after loss! Young people can’t process the death of one friend before another is gone! It seems there is no end in sight and no one that truly seems to care that we are loosing our future! Day after day we hear of another shooting, another victim! Rarely do we hear a case has been solved! Why is that? Because people aren’t coming forward with the relevant information to solve these cases.

As we hope for an immediate arrest in the death of Harvey, we also want others to know they are loved by someone. In your darkest moment when you think you aren’t find that person you know deep down loves you and would be devastated without you! Not the one that pretends to be your friend that will whisper things in your ear that could ultimately cause you harm, death or jail. But that one that gets your mind right! Know that life is not a game! You can’t just murder someone and walk away as if it never happened. That is going to eat your spirit alive if you have an ounce of morales!

We send our light and love to Harvey’s family as no family should ever have to experience this level of pain. 💔. that Harvey no longer has! Do right by him for the sake of his family left behind!

This may not be happening in Ward 5, but this is something our entire community needs.

Violence and trauma do not stop at ward boundaries, and neither should healing. The Don’t Shoot Guns, Shoot Hoops Trauma Healing Circle is creating space for people to come together, support one another, talk, heal, and strengthen our community. 🤝🏾❤️‍🩹

Nye was one of six victims of a mass shooting in Minneapolis this week. Nye was in the process of child exchange with her child’s father (the shooter) when she was shot in front of her child.
