❤️🎒 OUR CHILDREN NEED US — EVEN ONE PENCIL HELPS 🎒❤️

This Saturday, August 22nd, Northside Blessings will be coming together to help children ages 5–13 get ready to walk into school feeling prepared, confident, and excited for a new school year.

🌤️ This is an OUTDOOR event!

Right now, we still need backpacks and school supplies. And when we say anything helps, we truly mean it.

Even one pencil. One notebook. One box of crayons. One folder. One backpack. ✏️📓🖍️

Please don’t ever think your donation is too small. One person may donate pencils, another notebooks, another a backpack—and when we put it all together, we can send a child back to school with what they need. ❤️

We are also asking for VOLUNTEERS!

⏰ Set-up begins at 8:00 AM
⏰ Tear-down will be around 3:00 PM

Even if you can only give us an hour of your time, we need you and we appreciate you.

🎨 DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FACE PAINT? We would love to have you come out and help put some extra smiles on the children’s faces!

Some families are carrying struggles we may never see. Something as simple as handing a child a new backpack, a notebook, or even a pencil can remind them that their community sees them, cares about them, and believes in them.

❤️ The “BER” Months Are Coming… and So Is Another Season of Giving ❤️

After our Back-to-School Giveaway, Northside Blessings will be taking about a month to pause, breathe, regroup, and prepare our hearts for what comes next Thanksgiving and Christmas. 🦃🎄

Every year seems to come faster, and every year we meet more families who are simply trying to make it through. Parents who want to give their children a Christmas they’ll remember. Families trying to put a Thanksgiving meal on the table. Grandparents raising grandchildren. Single parents doing everything they can. Sometimes people don’t need a handout they just need a helping hand during a difficult season.

That is why we continue doing what we do. ❤️

Beginning October 1st, we will officially start working on our Christmas Sponsorship Program. There will be opportunities to sponsor families directly or indirectly, depending on how involved you would like to be.

But you don’t have to wait until October to get involved. If God has placed it on your heart to volunteer, donate, sponsor, partner with us, or simply ask how you can help, please reach out now. Every person who comes alongside us helps make it possible to reach another family.

As our Back-to-School event gets closer, we’re reaching out to our amazing community, sponsors, businesses, friends, and supporters for help.

Every child deserves to walk into school feeling prepared, confident, and excited for a new year. We are collecting backpacks, school supplies, new clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, and other school essentials for local children and families who could use a little extra support.

If you’re unable to donate physical items, you can still make a huge difference by giving:

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about Back-to-School registration, so we wanted to share an update.

📚 There will be NO registration this year. Our Back-to-School Event will be first come, first served, while supplies last.

At this time, we are still waiting to see what donations and supplies we receive. Because of that, we are not able to confirm all the details just yet, including whether children will need to be present to receive items.

If everything comes together as planned, we will post the final date, time, location, and all event details approximately one week before the event.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work hard to make this event a blessing for as many families as possible.

To our Northside Blessings family,

There are truly no words that could ever express how thankful we are for each and every one of you.

As we look back on the Metro Urge outreach, our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude. Because of your love, your generosity, your donations, your time, and your willingness to step up when families were in need, thousands of people were blessed with food, hygiene items, rent assistance, encouragement, and hope.

You didn’t just provide resources you reminded people that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

Life has been moving so fast, and if we haven’t personally thanked you yet, please forgive us. We never want your kindness, generosity, and sacrifice to go unnoticed. Every volunteer, every donor, every person who shared a post, packed bags, delivered supplies, offered encouragement, or simply believed in our mission played an important part. None of this would have been possible without you.

As one chapter comes to an end, another one is already beginning. We are now preparing for our Back-to-School event, followed by Thanksgiving and Christmas. The needs in our community continue, and we are committed to being there for as many families as we can.
