❤️ A Heartfelt Update from Northside Blessings ❤️

As we reflect on the past several months, our hearts are filled with gratitude. We have been blessed to walk alongside so many families through difficult seasons, providing food, household essentials, encouragement, prayers, and support when it was needed most.

Lately, things have started to slow down. While there are still families reaching out, we are seeing fewer emergency requests. To us, that is a blessing. It means some families are finding stability, catching up on bills, putting food on the table, and experiencing a little relief after carrying so much weight.

We never take that for granted.

Northside Blessings is still here, continuing to help families as needs arise. We know hardships can come unexpectedly, and we remain committed to serving our community with love, dignity, and compassion.

If God places it on your heart to help, we would love to hear from you. Whether it’s through volunteering, donating, sharing resources, partnering with us, or simply spreading the word, every act of kindness makes a difference. Community, we truly need your help right now ❤️

With school getting ready to let out for summer, many children will no longer have access to the meals they depend on during the school year. Families are already struggling, and the requests for help continue to grow every single week. We are doing everything we can to continue showing up for our community, but we cannot do it alone.

If you are able to donate anything from the list below, please know it will go directly to families, children, elderly, and neighbors in need. Even one item makes a difference.

Food needs:
• Kids snacks (pre-made snack bags are greatly appreciated)
• Chicken, ground beef, turkey, chicken thighs, turkey meat
• Breakfast sandwiches
• Rice
• Beans
• Noodle soups
• Seasonings
• Mac & cheese
• Bread
• Eggs
• Milk
• Waters

Hygiene & household needs:
• Toilet paper

• Laundry soap or pods

If you’re able to make pre-made family food bags, each family typically receives 2 grocery bags of food and 1 hygiene bag. This helps us so much as our volunteer support has decreased, but the need in our community has not.

If you would like to become a monthly sponsor, even a small monthly amount helps us continue feeding and supporting families consistently.

This is truly strangers helping strangers, neighbors helping neighbors. No family should feel alone during hard times.

💔 COMMUNITY WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP 💔

Families, children, and elderly in our community are still struggling every single day. Some are trying to survive with little to no food, no hygiene products, and no support system. We are doing everything we can through the nonprofit to continue helping, but we cannot do this alone anymore.

Right now we are urgently asking the community to come together for families in need. Even the smallest donation can help a mother feed her children, help an elderly person feel clean and cared for, or help a struggling family make it through another week.

Good morning everyone, just a friendly reminder that today from 10 AM–12 PM we will be accepting donations in Brooklyn Park. If you have never dropped off before, please message us and we will send you the location information.

At this time, we are only in need of the following items:

🧻 Toilet paper
🧼 Paper towels
🧺 Laundry soap or laundry pods
🍼 Diapers sizes 6, 7, & 8
🧻 Baby wipes
🥛 Nido formula

💊 Medicine for infants, babies, and adults such as:
Tylenol, cold & flu medicine, Vicks, and other basic over-the-counter medicines families may need.

🍗 FOOD NEEDS:
Chicken legs, chicken thighs, chicken breast, beef, turkey, any meat products, rice, ramen, soups, kids snacks, kids juices, and Aldi bags.

Good afternoon everyone. ☀️ We hope you all are enjoying the beautiful weather today.

As many families continue facing hardship and uncertainty, we are once again asking our community for help. Since 2020, we have been standing beside families in crisis families who are trying their best to survive, care for their children, and make it through another day. Many are still deeply affected and are depending on the kindness of strangers to get by.

Right now, we are in need of the following items only:

🧻 Toilet paper🧻 Paper towels🧺 Laundry soap & laundry pods🧴 Deodorant🧼 Body wash & shampoo🍽️ Dish soap👶 Diapers sizes 6, 7, and 8🍼 Nido formula

🍗 Food needed:• Chicken• Chicken thighs• Ground beef• Red meat• Bacon• Rice• Kids snacks• Water• Juices

We also have a mother who recently welcomed a baby girl and currently has nothing prepared for her baby. Any NEW baby girl clothing, baby essentials, or gift cards would be such a blessing during this time. 💕

If you are unable to donate items, grocery store gift cards in any amount would help families tremendously. Even the smallest act of kindness can put food on a table, diapers on a baby, or ease the stress a parent is carrying.

This work has always been about neighbors helping neighbors and strangers helping strangers. We cannot do this alone, and we are grateful for every person who continues to support, share, pray, donate, or show up for families in need.

ICE has not left Minnesota, and many immigrant families are still living in fear and hardship while trying to rebuild stability for their children.

Some families in our community are still trying to recover after losing months of income. Even while working, many are struggling to keep food on the table, buy basic hygiene items, and care for their children. Through Metro Surge, we continue to help families who are quietly facing hardship every single day.

We are asking for grocery and hygiene donations for our upcoming Drop-Off Day on Saturday, May 9th at our drop-off location. Every donation matters whether it’s one pack of toilet paper, a case of water, diapers, or groceries for a family who simply needs help getting through the week.

We are only accepting the following items:

• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Laundry soap
• Rice & beans
• Meat (chicken, chicken thighs, ground beef)
• Turkey hot dogs & bologna
• Kids’ snacks
• Water
• Diapers (sizes 7 & 8 only)
• Body wash, shampoo & conditioner
• Dish soap

May rent is near

I’m asking from the heart for our community to come together and stand with immigrant families who are carrying so much right now. Many are facing fear, uncertainty, financial hardship, and the daily struggle of trying to keep food on the table and a roof over their children’s heads.

These are hardworking families doing everything they can to survive, yet still finding themselves in difficult situations. No family should have to choose between paying rent, buying groceries, or simply trying to make it through another day.

Even the smallest donation can make a difference. A few dollars may not seem like much, but together we can help provide relief, hope, and support during a time when it’s needed most.

This is what community looks like strangers helping strangers, people showing up for one another, and reminding families they are not alone.

This May, we are standing with immigrant families who are facing some of the hardest moments of their lives. Many families are struggling to keep a roof over their heads while also trying to afford food, diapers, hygiene items, and basic daily needs.

At Northside Blessings, we continue to support families with dignity, compassion, and hope but we cannot do it alone.

Our May Rent Support Campaign is focused on helping immigrant families stay housed and avoid displacement during difficult times. Even a small donation can make a big impact for a family trying to survive another month.
