Tiffany Cartier/Mitchell Nash passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2026.
Tiffany Cartier was elected by community vote to the position of Empress V of the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Ice Castle (now known as ICOM) after several years of involvement starting in Reign I. Known as the Scarlett Dragon Empress, Tiffany represented the organization at most local events and fundraisers.
Along with her Emperor Jeff Crump, Tiffany led by example and were highly visible in the Minneapolis/St. Paul community and traveled the International Court Circuit extensively. They were respected and served as mentors to court members and led by example. It was during Tiffany’s and Jeff’s Reign that Empress I, Jose Sarria, The Widow Norton, attended Coronation in Minneapolis for the first time, and made subsequent visits to MN based on the culture and work done here. Tiffany was historically one of the lead MCs for ICOM coronations, and was often invited to MC coronations across the country and in Canada.
Tiffany built the “Legendary House of Cartier” and the individuals named to be in this house shared the same interests, values, strengths, and ideas. Over time, the list of local and international members grew a little longer and the tradition was steadfast. Tiffany held this small group closest, and these people were very important to her as her “chosen family.”
Additionally, Tiffany was a regular cast member and MC at the Gay 90s for many years, and performed on many local and national stages with her performances often rooted in theater or musicals.
Tiffany is survived by spouse Jeff Willoughby of Asheville, North Carolina. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
