From Vice to Nice: Race, AIDS, and Midwestern Politics (Part of the Making Minnesota series)

We were incredibly honored to be asked to co-sponsor this talk at the U of M on Thu, October 8th, and happy to accept the opportunity! The inaugural event in this series will feature Dr. Rene Esparza (American Studies, 2017), Assistant Professor, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Washington University. Minnesota Leather Pride played a part in the research he conducted for his 2025 book, From Vice to Nice: Midwestern Politics and the Gentrification of AIDS.

Every flag this size needs a checkup. We laid the giant Minnesota Leather Pride flag out one more time this season, looked it over seam by seam, and prepared to carefully fold it away for the winter. But since we had it spread out... we did the obvious thing and got 32 people to lie down on it. 🖤🤍💙❤️

Next year, earlier in the summer. Bring everyone.

We're seeking a drone photographer to take a new photo of community members with our new Leather Pride flag. The shoot is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, around 11am near 2601 Theo Worth Parkway.

[MNLP] August is stacked, MNLP fam! We're especially excited for Twin Cities Spectrum at PoC Pride on August 16 (10am-4pm at Powderhorn Park), come celebrate with us. Beyond that, the calendar is packed: weekly Leather Church and Walk in Wednesdays, the North Star Kennel Club camping trip, Atons EROS Pool Party, ICOM's Alter Ego and Q***r Legacy events, puppy takeovers, and our own MNLP All-Community Pool Party on the 23rd.
