Due Friday! — The Minnesota Architectural Foundation’s (MAF) Beverly Hauschild-Baron Leadership Fund (BHB Fund) is dedicated to fostering leadership within our architecture community, including through the scholarships to support attending the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit (WLS). The BHB Fund will be awarding up to two (2) scholarships in an amount up to $1,500 each toward expenses to attend the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit in Kansas City, November 1-3, 2026. “From Drawing to Fabrication: Understanding Truss Fabrication Through the Eyes of a Manufacturer” will give architects a firsthand look at how their construction documents are translated into prefabricated wood truss assemblies and how that process directly affects the structural safety of the buildings they design. Through a guided tour of the Scherer Bros. Lumber Co. truss manufacturing facility and a collaborative session with their engineering team, participants will observe the full fabrication workflow from drawing intake through engineering, modeling, and physical production. The AIA Northern Minnesota golf outing has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 30. That means there’s still time to register as a sponsor, join us on the green, and support architecture students! Register by Friday, July 24: https://www.aia-mn.org/event/aianmn-golf-outing/

Have fun playing 18 holes of golf and raising money for the AIA Northern Minnesota scholarship fund. This tournament is a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start. All proceeds from this event go toward funding the AIA Northern Minnesota architecture education scholarships. Event is 18 holes, cart and range balls included, and 4-person scramble format. Prizes are given for putting, chipping, and marshmallow drive contests, closest to the pin, longest putt, longest drive, lowest team score, and highest team score. Registration includes a steak dinner.

Have fun playing 18 holes of golf and raising money for the AIA Northern Minnesota scholarship fund.
