Something exciting is brewing in Houston, Minnesota! The Minnesota Design Team (MDT) is gearing up for our 3rd community visit on September 24–26, co-led by Katie Kangas, AIA, Emily Northey, and Amber Egofske, AIA.

Houston is preparing for major transformative milestones—including the future home of the International Owl Center, downtown enhancements along Cedar Street and Highway 76, infrastructure planning, and new public space initiatives at South Park.

MDT visits bring an objective, multi-disciplinary team to help small towns actualize their potential, spur sustainable growth, and unite generations around a shared future.

Due Friday! — The Minnesota Architectural Foundation’s (MAF) Beverly Hauschild-Baron Leadership Fund (BHB Fund) is dedicated to fostering leadership within our architecture community, including through the scholarships to support attending the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit (WLS). The BHB Fund will be awarding up to two (2) scholarships in an amount up to $1,500 each toward expenses to attend the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit in Kansas City, November 1-3, 2026.
