MN POC Pride Festival Empowering LGBTQ+ people of color in Minnesota through celebration, advocacy, and community-building

The Minnesota People of Color LGBTQ Pride’s goal is to create social change in the Twin Cities area. We produce a yearly, all-inclusive people of color LGBTQ+ pride festival weekend in late August. The festivities offered are to engage and recognize the people of color contributions and celebrate with PRIDE, our many ethnic diversities in the Twin Cities LGBTQ communities.

✨🎀 MC SPOTLIGHT 🎀✨

Please join us in welcoming Justice Paige Counce to Twin Cities Black Pride 2026!

Justice Paige Counce is the current Miss Twin Cities Black Diamond 2026, and she is bringing more than three decades of glamour, talent, and community spirit to our celebration.

For over 32 years, Justice has dedicated her life to the art of drag, community fundraising, and pageantry. Her journey began right here in Minneapolis before taking her to San Diego and Atlanta, where she built an extraordinary career performing at iconic venues such as Urban Mo's, Brass Rail, Bacchus House, and Lips Restaurant. This year, she celebrates an incredible 25 years with Lips.

Her long list of accomplishments includes titles such as:

πŸ‘‘ Miss City of the Lakes
πŸ‘‘ Miss Gay San Diego
πŸ‘‘ Miss Gay California USofA
πŸ‘‘ Miss Gay Sin City USofA
πŸ‘‘ Miss Queen of Mardi Gras
πŸ‘‘ Miss Sweetheart Regal
πŸ‘‘ Princess Royal, Imperial Court of San Diego
πŸ‘‘ Current Miss Twin Cities Black Diamond 2026

After stepping away from competition for 11 years, Justice made a triumphant return to the stage and captured the crown once againβ€”proving that elegance, talent, and heart never go out of style.

Now she's back where it all began and ready to celebrate with all of us!

🎀✨ PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT ✨🎀

Please help us welcome Ameen Taahir to Twin Cities Black Pride 2026!

A vibrant fixture of the Twin Cities music scene since the age of 12, Ameen Taahir is a rapper, singer, producer, songwriter, and engineer from Brooklyn Park who refuses to be boxed into a single genre. Blending hip-hop, R&B, pop, house, and afrobeat, he creates music that is bold, honest, and uniquely his own.

Completely self-taught, Ameen first turned to music as an outlet for self-expression. What started with remixes quickly grew into an impressive career that includes a mixtape, an album, multiple EPs, and his global debut album, Emerald Child.

His latest project, All The Things, dives deep into themes of love, identity, and liberation through a Black q***r lens. It's a powerful reminder of Ameen's gift for creating music that not only sounds good, but also tells a story that resonates.

Beyond his own music, Ameen is a talented producer and engineer who has helped other artists shine, including producing and engineering Purple Queen's hit single "Worth It," which has surpassed 80,000 streams on Spotify.

An electrifying live performer, Ameen has graced some of the Twin Cities' most iconic stages, including First Avenue, 7th Street Entry, Can Can Wonderland, Mortimer's, LUSH, and Palmer's Bar.

Now, he's bringing that same energy to Twin Cities Black Pride 2026, and we couldn't be more excited.
