Statewide Pedestrian Bridge Planning Study

Do you use the Hwy. 121/Lyndale Avenue pedestrian bridge?

If so, MnDOT wants to hear from you!

You’re invited to participate in an upcoming focus group!

Refreshments will be provided and participants will receive a stipend for their time! Use the link below to sign up!!

Windom Residents:

Many pedestrian bridges are inaccessible and/or are deteriorating.

These bridges have approaches with stairs, steep ramps, and other features that make it difficult for people to cross. MnDOT is seeking a better understanding of the pedestrian bridge system and developing a framework for construction projects that will bring bridges up to current standards and address their needs.

The Statewide Pedestrian Bridge Planning Study project team is interested in speaking with community members that regularly use MnDOT pedestrian bridges to better understand how these bridges are used and how changes in design and/or location may impact their use. Interested community members are invited to scan the

To give residents plenty of opportunity to move their vehicles, the City has declared a snow emergency to begin at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 15.

In anticipation of the storm, the City has opened more than 700 spaces of free off-street parking in two lots, and starting Sunday morning, 3,500 spaces in Ramp A for $1.

Hello Windom Neighbors!

Several southwest neighborhoods have organized a blood drive for Wednesday, March 4th from 1–7 PM in the South Lyndale Liquors parking lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/pGeiVKXhJGxHMrSo

We are very light on donor sign ups this time around but the need for blood donations remains high.

Please help by becoming a donor and/or spread the word and invite your neighbors to register to give blood if they are able.

Reminder TODAY: Winter Seed Sowing Event this afternoon, Saturday, February 21, 2026 - 2:30 PM to 4 PM at the Windom South Park @ 5843 Wentworth Avenue in the Multipurpose Room.

Native plants are a great way to help pollinators, the environment, and beautify your green space. Winter seed sowing is an easy, low-cost way to start plants that become strong and resilient. This workshop is perfect for all garden types including pocket plantings and boulevards.

Join us for a Winter Sowing workshop TODAY:

Windom Park Recreation Center

Door #13 - The Multipurpose Room.

This is a FREE event through the Windom Community Council’s Environment and Land Use Committee, and everyone is welcome to come and learn. While there are supplies available, please bring containers if you have them.

If you want to bring your own supplies:

Clean containers that are clear/translucent such as a milk jug, bucket with lid or a container with lid.

Native seeds if you have them (an assortment of seeds will be provided).
