Proposed NOAH program updates: Seeking public comment

The City of Minneapolis is proposing changes to Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH) Preservation Fund program.

The purpose of the NOAH Preservation Fund is to help finance the purchase and preservation of unsubsidized rental housing. The primary goal is to prevent displacement of low income renters. Learn more about the NOAH Preservation Fund.

Note that all proposed changes, both substantive and administrative, are highlighted red. View NOAH program draft guidelines.

Tree Planting at Oak Hill Cemetery this Saturday, June 20th at 10 am.

Looking for an opportunity to serve the Windom neighborhood and visit the oldest continuously operating cemetery in Hennepin County?

Volunteers needed to help plant trees at Oak Hill Cemetery located, across from Bachman's Floral & Garden, on 59th and Lyndale.

This Saturday, June 20th we will meet at cemetery office at 10 am for instructions from an arborist, with an estimated time commitment of about 90 minutes.

Please bring work gloves and a clean shovel if you have one. Refreshments will be served.

This is also a great opportunity to wander through this beautiful and historic place, and the cemetery’s Superintendent will be available as well for any questions.

Statewide Pedestrian Bridge Planning Study

Do you use the Hwy. 121/Lyndale Avenue pedestrian bridge?

If so, MnDOT wants to hear from you!

You’re invited to participate in an upcoming focus group!

Refreshments will be provided and participants will receive a stipend for their time! Use the link below to sign up!!

Windom Residents:

Many pedestrian bridges are inaccessible and/or are deteriorating.

These bridges have approaches with stairs, steep ramps, and other features that make it difficult for people to cross. MnDOT is seeking a better understanding of the pedestrian bridge system and developing a framework for construction projects that will bring bridges up to current standards and address their needs.

The Statewide Pedestrian Bridge Planning Study project team is interested in speaking with community members that regularly use MnDOT pedestrian bridges to better understand how these bridges are used and how changes in design and/or location may impact their use. Interested community members are invited to scan the
