💛 Meet Alice, a kind-hearted, dog-loving 5-year-old! She was diagnosed with kidney cancer and underwent treatment at Children’s Wisconsin - MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Along the way, she has relied on her own special superpowers—positivity, resilience, and a heart full of compassion—to help her face the challenges she encounters! With the great support of her family, Alice continues to bring joy to those around her, even through cancer treatment.

🎗Thank you for supporting research for kids like Alice. Thank you for giving hope.

🎗️ Today is National Cancer Survivors Day

Thanks to advances in research, the average 5-year survival rate for childhood cancer is now 86%, with some types like Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) exceeding 90%. But for others, like DIPG, survival remains heartbreakingly low at 2.2%.

More children are surviving, but over 95% of childhood cancer survivors will face significant health issues and the long-term effects of treatment by age 45. These effects can impact the heart, lungs, bones, brain, and emotional health, and even lead to second cancers later in life.

On this day of hope and celebration, we also renew our commitment to not only improve survival but to ensure survivorship is long, healthy, and full.

💛 Thank you for supporting research for safer, more effective treatments.
