The name Adullam refers to the Cave of Adullam, mentioned in the Bible as a place of refuge for David as he fled from King Saul. When word of David’s situation became known among the people, "every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was disconte

nted" (1 Sam. 22:2) came to Adullam and joined David. It was from the humble beginnings of a man hiding in a cave surrounded by a large group of broken and rejected individuals, that one of the most renowned military and political forces of history was forged. The intention of Adullam is to be a place of refuge and increased potential for anyone who seeks it.
