Ask your kids about their special second recess today!

This was their prize for all of their hard work during the Hawk-a-Thon, and what a fun time it was! Each student received a prize and had the opportunity to pick out a JFK jibbit for their Crocs if they wanted one.

We brought out extra recess equipment, bubbles, music, and chalk to help make the celebration even more special.

We hope the kids had just as much fun as we did celebrating their hard work and school spirit.

You’re invited to walk with JWC in this year’s “250th Anniversary Celebration” parade! An email was sent to all 2026 Respect Star families on 5/23 with a link to RSVP. Please reach out if you can’t locate it.

Respect Star t-shirts should be getting dropped off to each school at some point this week. You’re encouraged to wear your t-shirt to the parade!

🎭 Save the Date! 🎭

We’re excited to announce our 2026–2027 school year play: “Groovy Aladdin” ✨🪔

To help make things less stressful for families, we’ll be starting the registration process earlier this year. Please note that registration will close the week after school starts, so keep an eye out for more information over the summer!

This after-school program is open to students in grades 1–5.

We are incredibly excited and proud to announce our first Committee on Special Education Event. May 26th, we will holding a joint event for both parents AND kids!

For Parents/Caregivers: Join CPAC (Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center) for a presentation on "Getting to know your child's IEP." For Free!

For Kids: Enjoy a 2 hour open Gym at GCA (For only $20!). Climb, jump, dance, arts & crafts - this is going to be a fun night
complete with a crew who will be amazing working with our kids.
