Childhood cancer remains one of the hardest realities any family can face.
While incredible progress has been made in treatment and survival, the number of children and adolescents being diagnosed has slowly increased over the past several decades.

Research shows that the overall childhood cancer incidence rate rose by about 33% from 1975 to 2019. Much of that increase has been linked to cancers such as leukemias, lymphomas, brain tumors, and other childhood cancers. In recent years, rates for children ages 0 to 14 have stabilized, but cancer rates among adolescents ages 15 to 19 continue to rise by about 1% per year.

The good news is that survival has improved dramatically. Since the 1970s, childhood cancer death rates have dropped by more than 50%, and the overall 5-year survival rate for pediatric cancers is now around 87%. That progress is real, and it represents decades of research, better treatments, and the strength of children and families who have walked this road.

But survival is not the same as a cure for every child.

Many children still face aggressive cancers, long treatments, lasting side effects, and uncertain futures. Researchers believe part of the rise in diagnoses may be due to better imaging, improved tracking, and more accurate reporting. However, environmental exposures, lifestyle changes, and other unknown factors may also play a role. The truth is, for most childhood cancers, the exact cause is still unknown.

That is why awareness matters. Research matters. Funding matters. Families need answers, children need better treatment options, and survivors need long-term support.

💛 Amazing news from Jayden Lamb Memorial Foundation! 💛

Thanks to recent grants and the incredible support from our fundraising efforts this month, we have raised enough funds to bless 10 children currently fighting cancer with a special gift.

Our Mission is To assist family’s and children fighting cancer and also assist other children in the community while keeping Jayden Lamb’s spirit alive.

If you know a child currently fighting cancer, please share this post so we can connect with their family. Every share helps us reach a child who could use a little extra hope and encouragement during their journey.

Tommy’s Express Car Wash Team,

On behalf of the Jayden Lamb Memorial Foundation family, thank you so much for your incredible generosity, support, and partnership during this fundraiser.

Your kindness went far beyond simply hosting an event. From the beginning, your team made us feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared about our mission. Seeing the involvement, encouragement, and compassion from everyone at Tommy’s Express meant more to us than words can fully express.

Because of your efforts, not only did the fundraiser raise $803.17 through the event itself, but we also received an additional $150 in donations through our website that same day directly connected to this fundraiser. That brought the total impact to $953.17 for the foundation.

Your support helps us continue honoring Jayden’s memory and making a difference in the lives of others. We are truly grateful for the time, energy, and heart your entire team poured into this event.

Community Strong: Thank You Jayden Lamb Memorial Foundation!

This past weekend at Tommy’s Express Midland was something truly special. We were honored to partner with the Jayden Lamb Memorial Foundation — an incredible organization doing important work in our community. Tom Lamb, the CEO, spent the entire day with us, side-by-side with us and connecting with everyone who came through.

It wasn’t just about clean cars — it was about neighbors coming together, sharing stories, and supporting a cause that means so much. The energy, the turnout, and the generosity were amazing. A big thank you to everyone who showed up and supported the event!

Because of you, we’re donating a great chunk of the weekend’s revenue to the Jayden Lamb Memorial Foundation, along with all the additional funds raised from the community!

Every dollar will help continue their meaningful work.

We still have quite a few keychains left from our fundraiser. If you’re local and would like one, they’re $5 each.

Each keychain has our logo and website on it, so if you know a child fighting cancer, you can help point their family our way. Plus, they double as a bottle opener 🍻

Any donations made through JaydenLamb.org will also receive a keychain while supplies last.

If we don’t get rid of them all, we’ll save the rest for future events.
